Holder for a second handset on telephone terminals

The new version concerns a holder for a second handset on telephone terminals for the safe storage of the second handset within easy reach of the telephone terminal. With telephone terminals it is advisable to have the handsets and second handset within easy reach of the Pernod telephone terminal. With normal handsets this requirement is usually met by placing the handset on a fork or in a recess. However, the holder in this place may only be used when the telephone terminal is at rest. 10

DE-AS 10 08 779 discloses a support that allows a telephone handset to stand freely or independently. For this purpose, however, the handset must be designed in a special way so that it can be firmly connected to the support. The support and the handset are mechanically adapted to one another in such a way that a stable arrangement is achieved.

The purpose of the innovation is to provide a holder for a second handset on telephone terminals, with which a second handset can be attached to a telephone terminal within easy reach, regardless of its design, without impairing the function of the telephone terminal.

This object is achieved in that the holder is angularly designed and is shaped at its free end to accommodate the second handset, and in that the other end is shaped in such a way that the holder can be inserted into the opening provided for a foot of the telephone terminal.

Various designs of the holder can be used to ^position the second handset either behind or to the side of a telephone used as a table telephone. Other designs of the holder are suitable for hanging the second handset either underneath or to the side of a telephone used as a wall telephone. Fig. 1 shows how the holder 1 is designed in an angled manner and how it accommodates the second earpiece 2 at its free end. The end 3 of the holder 1 intended for fastening is designed in such a way that it can be inserted into an opening which is provided for a foot of the terminal device.

If a holder 1 is to be attached for a second handset 2, all you have to do is remove the base of the device at this point and insert the holder 1. This means that the holder 1 is firmly connected to the telephone terminal 4.

The rear view of the telephone terminal 4 shown in Fig. 2 shows how the holder 1 for the second handset 2 can be attached to the side. For this purpose, as already described, the foot 5 must be removed at this point in order to insert the holder 1 there. For this purpose, the relevant end 3 of the holder 1 is designed differently in a corresponding manner.

The wall version of the telephone terminal 4 shown in Fig. 3 shows how a version of the holder 1 provided for this purpose can be attached so that the second handset 2 can be hung underneath the telephone terminal 4. Here too, the recess provided for a device base is used to attach the holder 1. The end of the holder 1 provided for receiving the second handset 2 is hook-shaped.

Fig. 4 shows how the holder 1 for the second handset 2 can be attached to the side of a wall-mounted telephone terminal 4.

The holder 1 is a plastic part that can be inexpensively manufactured in various designs depending on the application. The color and shape can easily be adapted to the design of the telephone terminal.

Holder for a second handset on telephone terminals for safe storage of the second handset within easy reach of the telephone terminal, characterized by that the holder (1) is angularly designed and is shaped at its free end to accommodate the second handset (2), and that the other end (3) is shaped such that the holder (1) can be inserted in a locking manner into the opening provided for a foot (5) of the telephone terminal (4). 2. Holder according to claim 1, characterized in that the end (3) of the holder (1) intended for attachment to the telephone terminal (4) is shaped differently so that the holder can be attached to different sides of the telephone terminal can be. 3.
