/I/ In the well-known high-quality sports knives (also called "pocket knives"), the handle that holds the blade is made of metal, and the handle is provided with recesses ₍ into which plastic jaws are inserted).

The manufacture of the handle from metal is complex. The invention is therefore based on the task of further developing the generic lock knife in such a way that it can be manufactured inexpensively without impairing its function.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the handle is designed as a plastic injection-molded part and is provided on both sides with recesses for receiving jaws made of metal.

It is further proposed that the handle be made in one piece.

Alternatively, however, it may also be proposed that the booklet be formed by two half-shells.

A particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that the jaws inserted into the recesses are connected to the handle via the first hinge pin, the second hinge pin and a third pin arranged in the area of the end of the handle facing away from the blade.

The sports shooting knife (pocket knife) consists of a handle 10 and a blade 14 which is held by the handle 10 and can be pivoted out about a hinge point 12. The blade 14 is, as shown in Fig. 3, provided with a groove 16 into which one end of a locking element 22 engages. This locking element 22 can be pivoted in the handle 10 about a second hinge point 20 in such a way that when the end of the locking element 22 facing away from the blade 14 is manually pressed, the end of the locking element 22 which engages in the groove 16 in the blade 14 is released from the latter, releasing the blade 14. The free end of a spring element 18 which is clamped into the handle 10 in the area of the end facing away from the blade acts on the locking element 22.

The handle 10 can consist of two half-shells that are mirror images of each other and is provided with recesses into which jaws 24 made of metal are inserted. These jaws 24, which can be made by punching and pressing but also by casting, are connected to the handle 10 in the area of the first hinge pin 12, the second hinge pin 20 and a third pin 26 arranged at the end of the handle 10 facing away from the blade 14.

A sports folding knife is therefore proposed, the handle of which consists of one or two plastic injection-molded parts. In order to give the knife the necessary stability, but also a "metallic appearance", the side surfaces are each provided with a cheek made of metal, approximately half of which is inserted into a corresponding recess in the plastic injection-molded part or parts forming the handle. The triple mounting of these cheeks 24 on the handle 10 ensures that the handle 10 is sufficiently stabilized by the cheeks 24 made of metal.

The sports lock knife proposed here can be manufactured inexpensively; it is light but very stable.

Sports shooting knife with a handle (10), a blade (14) received in the handle (10) and pivotable out of the handle about a first hinge pin (12), a locking element (22) with one end engaging in a groove (16) in the blade (14) and pivotable about a second hinge pin (20) to unlock the pivoted-out blade (14), and a spring element (18) mounted in the handle (10) and acting on the other end of the locking element (22), characterized in that the handle (10) is designed as a plastic injection-molded part and is provided on both sides with recesses for receiving jaws (24) made of metal. 2. Sports folding knife according to claim 1, characterized in that the handle (10) is formed in one piece. 3.
