Leather boots, especially lightweight mountain boots

The innovation relates to a leather boot, in particular light mountaineering boots, with the feature of the generic term of protection claim 1.

It is well known ^that leather boots have reinforcements, e.g. for the heel. With such boots there is a risk that the ankle could bend if you are not careful while hiking, especially in the mountains, which can lead to a broken ankle or to damage to tendons and ligaments.

The innovation is based on the task of designing a leather boot, especially a lightweight mountain boot, in such a way that the ankles of the boot wearer are supported against bending.

The innovation solves this problem with the characterising features of claim 1.

Because stiffening parts are pulled up to the ankle area, the ankles of the boot wearer are supported and the risk of bending is reduced. The stiffening parts are preferably formed on the inside of the shoe upper.

The lightweight mountain boot 1 has, as usual, a sole 2, an upper 3 and outer sole edge and heel parts 4 sewn to the upper 3.

Usually, a stiffening heel cap 5 is provided in the heel area on the inside of the upper part 3.

According to the innovation, stiffening parts 8 are provided on both sides of the foot 7 to protect the ankles 6 against bending, which are pulled up from the sole 2 to the respective ankle 6. The stiffening parts 8 are preferably designed as molded parts, preferably made of plastic with a stiffening grid, which can be hot-glued to the inside of the upper part 3, e.g. ironed on.

As shown, these stiffening parts 8 border on the heel cap 5 or overlap with it.

It is also possible to form the heel cap 5 and the stiffening part 3 as a one-piece molded part.

On the outside, the upper part 3 has an outer heel leather 9, which continues in one piece into a protective part 10 that extends up to the ankle 6, which then merges into the sole edge part 11.
