The invention relates to bed linen consisting of a pillowcase and a duvet cover, which are variable in length.

Bed linen sets, pillowcases and duvet covers have been manufactured for years in standard or special sizes that can only be used for one filling size. These bed linen sets are made from a wide variety of materials.

A disadvantage of the bed linen sets or pillowcases and duvet covers used so far is that they can only be used for one filling size. For special sizes, especially if different lengths are required, special orders are required. German standard lengths cannot be used for foreign standard lengths.

The invention is based on the object of eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages, in particular that when requests are made for special lengths, one and the same reference size can be used or that this variable reference size can be used not only as a standard length, but also for the frequently different domestic and foreign lengths.

This goal is achieved by making both the pillow and the duvet cover of standard width, any other width, made of any material, variable in length. The pillow, made of any material, consists of a front and back sheet of standard width (e.g. 70 cm or 80 cm) or any other width with an additional cut-off flap on both the front and back sheets. The flaps can be of the same or different lengths, are provided with buttonholes and are used to close the pillowcase (Fig. 1). The length of the cover in standard length (e.g. 80 cm) (Fig. 1) or any other length can be changed to different lengths (Fig. 2 and 3) by buttoning the flap. This is done by buttoning the flap with additional buttons. As can be seen from Fig. 1, 2 and 3, the pockets are arranged in such a way that the original length, for example 80 cm (Fig. 1), can be increased to an additional length of 50 cm (Fig. 2) or 40 cm (Fig. 3) by buttoning. Other or different lengths are possible by adding buttons or buttons placed at a different distance. This cover is filled like a sack on the open outer side.

In the same way, for example, the German child's bed size 80 cm wide/120 cm long can be reduced to stroller size 80 cm wide/80 cm long. This cover is filled in a sack-like manner at the

The duvet cover, made of any material, consists of a front and back sheet in standard width (e.g. 135 cm or 155 cm) or any other width and an additional cut-off flap on both the front and back sheets. The flaps can be of the same or different lengths and serve as a closure for the cover (Fig. 5).

The length of the cover in standard length (Fig. 5) or any other length can be lengthened or shortened by buttoning the flap (Fig. 6 and 7). This is done by buttoning the flap onto additional buttons.

As can be seen from Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8, the buttons are arranged in such a way that by unbuttoning the original length of 200 cm (Figure 1), for example, the additional length of 210 cm (Figure 6) or 190 cm (Figure 7) is obtained. Additional or different lengths are possible by adding buttons or placing them at different distances.

This cover is filled like a sack on the open flap side. If the cover is not filled, the flap serves as a flap for the flap sheet.

In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an embodiment in longitudinal section and front view.

The purpose of this innovation is to provide bed linen both as a set (1 pillowcase and 1 duvet cover) and as an individual pillowcase or duvet cover, which are variable in length. The duvet cover can also be used as a throw-over sheet if it is not filled.

This possibility of change means that the demand for other sizes (different sleeping habits or different sizes in other countries) can be satisfied with one and the same cover. This results in larger series in production.

When travelling, travellers can take their own bed linen with them, as this can be adjusted to different filling sizes or fold-over sheets. (Travel brochures often state "bed linen is not provided").

The advantage of this innovation is the possibility of being able to button one and the same pillowcase or duvet cover for a variety of filling sizes and also being able to use the duvet cover as a throw-over sheet.
