Wall mount device

The invention relates to a wall mounting device with a plate-shaped element that can be attached to a wall and onto which a support piece can be pushed, which has support elements such as hooks or the like.

Such a wall holder device is known, for example, from DE-PS 21 27 492, which has a plate attached to a wall, the longitudinal axis of which runs horizontally. Elements for storing clothes or hats can be pushed onto the plate from the side via base pieces. The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a wall bracket device of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is simple in construction and versatile in use, ie that different support elements can be attached variably and easily exchanged.

This immovable fit is guaranteed regardless of whether the wall holder device is used as a shelf, for example as a hat shelf or in a bathroom for storing toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes or toothbrushes, or whether it is used as a hanging support, for example for hanging washcloths, towels or the like. In both types of use, the bag-like recess which is open at the top ensures that the loads directed towards gravity are safely absorbed without the support piece shifting or moving. It goes without saying that the plate-shaped element is attached to the wall in such a way that the opening of the recess is at the highest point. The recess itself can be rectangular, semi-circular, triangular or similar. The bottom area of the recess serves as an end stop for the inserted support piece. To replace the support piece, simply push it upwards out of the recess. Additional retaining elements or locking screws to hold the inserted support piece are not necessary.

The problem is completely solved by the proposed measures.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, the recess is U-shaped and is provided with a groove along its U-edge, and the support piece is provided with a flange-like projection on its U-shaped outer edge that fits into the groove.

In another equally advantageous embodiment, this is provided exactly the other way round, i.e. the U-edge of the recess is provided with a flange-like projection, and the carrier piece has the matching groove.

This has the advantage that when the carrier piece is pushed into the recess, it is guided well, so that this insertion process can be carried out easily and without jamming. Furthermore, the U-shaped recess, especially in the case of a rounded, U-shaped recess, can be cleaned very easily by placing it at a point on the outer end of the U and removing any dirt that may be in the groove in a single swivel movement. The "tongue and groove" connection between the recess and the carrier piece ensures that the inserted carrier piece is firmly and immovably seated without the need for additional holding means, such as a spring or the like.

Advantageously, a particularly close connection between the plate-shaped element and the support piece is created by the groove having a T-shaped, U-shaped or round profile, or by a dovetail-shaped connection being provided.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the support piece has a plate-shaped carrier body, the surface of which facing away from the wall is flush with the corresponding surface of the plate-shaped element.

This has the advantage that a smooth front side of the wall bracket results, which has no abutting edges,

where objects such as towel loops or similar can get caught and thus be damaged.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the plate-shaped element is formed by a U-shaped bent plate, and the inserted support piece lies directly against the wall in the area between the U-shaped legs.

This allows a particularly thin design of the entire hand-held device, whereby the individual parts, i.e. the plate-shaped carrying element or the carrier piece, can be made as thick as possible. This design can be used when only very light objects are to be held in the hand, such as a handbag or the like.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, two or more carrier bodies are connected via a transverse, hand-held storage plate, which can be inserted into two or more plate-shaped elements.

This has the advantage that when creating shelves on which heavier objects, such as glass tooth cups or the like, are to be placed, the load to be absorbed is distributed over several support bodies or plate-shaped elements. These individual parts can be designed in the same way as, for example, the individual support bodies of hooks or the like, so that only minor tool modifications are necessary in order to create a wide variety of applications for the hand-held device.

It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified, but also in other combinations and on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

A wall mounting device 10 shown in Fig. 1 to 3 has a plate-shaped element 14 fastened to a wall 12, into which a carrier piece 16 is inserted.

The support piece 16 has a projecting support element 18 in the form of a hook.

The plate-shaped element 14 is connected to the wall 12 via screws 30.

The plate-shaped element 14 has an open recess 20 directed upwards and towards the viewer, which has a substantially U-shaped profile with an approximately semicircular rounded U.

The recess 20 is provided with a groove 24 along its edge 22 facing the interior of the U.

The groove 24 is cut at a distance from an outer surface 36 of the plate-shaped element 14 facing the viewer. The wall-side flank of the groove 24 is aligned with the

Side facing the viewer of the plate-shaped element in the area of the recess 20, so that a T-shaped incision results when viewed in cross section (Fig. 3).

A carrier body 32 of the carrier piece 16 is designed such that it exactly fills the U-shaped recess 20 of the plate-shaped element 14.

The carrier body 32 is provided along its outer edge 26 with a flange-like projection 28 that fits into the groove. The width and thickness of the projection 28 is such that the carrier piece 16 can be gently slid into the recess 20 from above. In the inserted state, as shown in Fig. 1 to 3, the carrier piece 16 is positively received in the recess 20, i.e. the carrier piece is secured against lateral and downward displacement and against falling out. The carrier piece 16 can only be pushed out upwards again for removal.

The parts of the wall bracket device are made of plastic injection-molded parts, which can be different or the same color as desired.

The plate-shaped element 14 is provided with two openings in the area of the recess 20, as can be seen in particular from Fig. 2, through which the screws 30 can be pushed in order to fasten the element 14 to the wall 12. The head height of the screws 30 is selected so that they are in the same plane as the side of the plate-shaped element 14 facing away from the wall in the area of the recess 20. As a result, the insertion movement of the carrier piece 16 is not hindered by the fastening means.

The plate-shaped element 14 is provided in the area of the recess 20 with a cutout 38 into which a locking lug 39 of the support plate 16 is engaged. The locking lug 39 and the cutout 38 have an approximately semicircular cross-sectional profile '',j. (see Fig. 2) so that, when a certain force is overcome, the locking lug 38 disengages from the recess 38 when an upward pushing movement is applied. When the carrier piece 16 is pushed into the recess 20 ^, the locking lug 39 moves into the recess 38 when the maximum insertion position is reached. The locking mechanism serves to prevent the carrier piece 16 from being accidentally pushed out, for example when a towel held tightly from the hook 18 is removed with a swing upwards. However, the carrier piece 16 can be pushed out for replacement, for example by pressing against the hook 18 with the thumb.

i| A further embodiment of a wall mounting device 10" according to the invention shown in Fig. 4 to 6 has a plate-shaped element 54 which is provided with five recesses 60 to 64 which, as previously described in connection with Fig. 1 to 3, have a rounded U-profile.

Five support pieces 56 to 59 are inserted into the recesses 60 to 64.

As can be seen from Fig. 4, two identical support pieces 56 are inserted into the recesses 60 and 61, which are equipped with a support element 18 in the form of a hook, similar to _that described in Figs. 1 to 3.

As can be seen in particular from Fig. 5, the positive and secure connection between the support pieces and the respective recess is made via a dovetail connection.

In Fig. 4, the left, outer support piece 16 is shown pulled out of the recess 60 by a certain amount. In this illustration, a screw 30' can be seen which, as previously described in connection with Fig. 2, is arranged in the area of the recess 60 and which serves to screw it to a wall not shown in detail here. A corresponding screw is also provided in the area of the right outer recess 64.

A carrier piece 57 is accommodated in the recess 62, which is equipped with a support element 18' in the form of a hook, which is only wider than the hook 18.

The support piece 58, which is received in the recess 6j, is equipped with a pocket 68 which has a V-shaped, downward-facing slot 70.

The pocket 68 serves to hold loose items, such as a tie or a towel from which the hanging loop has been torn off. To do this, the object is inserted into the pocket 68 and is prevented from falling out by the narrowing V-shaped slot 70. This is made easier, especially with towels, by the seam provided.

The support piece 59, which is accommodated in the right outer recess 64, carries a clamp 72. The clamp 72 is connected to the support piece body 59 via a hinge 74 and can be pivoted by pressing along an arrow 78 (see Fig. 6) against the force of a spring 76 arranged between the clamp 72 and the support piece 59 so that a part of the clamp, as shown by an arrow 80 moves away from the support piece 59, thereby creating a gap into which a towel, piece of paper or the like can be inserted. After the clamp 80 is released, this piece is held due to the force of the spring 76.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4 to 6, depending on the choice and location, different carrier pieces 56 to 59 can be used or they can be exchanged as desired and according to the intended use.

In a further embodiment of a wall mounting device 10** according to the invention shown in Fig. 7 and 8, this has two support bodies 42, 42', which are connected to one another via a transverse support plate 48 that protrudes approximately at right angles from them.

The support bodies 42, 42* are received in U-shaped recesses of two plate-shaped elements 40 and 44*, respectively, which can be designed as previously in connection with Figs. 1 to 6 .

The storage plate 48 can be provided with corrugations on its surface so that even moist objects, such as a moist toothbrush cup on the bottom, can be safely placed on the storage plate 48.

In further embodiments, the storage plate can be provided with recesses or bulges 50, as indicated in Fig. 4 by the dot-dash line. The recesses can be provided so that, for example, toothbrushes can be pushed into these recesses by means of their handles. Furthermore, toothbrush cups or the like can be placed in the bulge 50.

In order to ensure that the storage plate 48 is securely held on the support bodies 42 and 42*, a material reinforcement 52 is provided in the transition area between the storage plate 48 and these.

If the support bodies 42 and 42" are arranged at a distance that corresponds to the distance between the support pieces 56 and 59 of the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, and if these support bodies 42, 42" are designed exactly the same as the support pieces in Fig. 4, the storage plate 48 can be pushed over the support bodies 42, 42* into the plate-shaped element 44. This then results in a wall holder device that can be used as a combined storage plate and at the same time as a hanging device for towels or the like.

This means that there are almost inexhaustible possibilities for combining different designs with one another.

In a further embodiment of a wall mounting device according to the invention, shown in Fig. 9, the plate-shaped element consists of a U-shaped plate 40, which is provided with a groove 24* on its inner U-edge. A corresponding support piece 46, which carries a hook 18, is inserted into the U-shaped plate 40. The thickness of the support piece 46 corresponds to the material thickness of the plate 40.

The wall-facing rear side of the support piece 46 rests against the wall 12. This design is selected if a very thin wall mounting device is required overall, which is only intended to support very light objects. The plate 40 is then attached to the wall via its U-shaped surface using an adhesive.

In Fig. 10, a further embodiment of the type described in Fig. 9 is shown, whereby in this embodiment, a U-shaped bent plate 40' is provided, which is equipped with a semicircular groove 24"', which extends over the entire thickness of the plate 40*. The carrier piece 46" is then provided with a corresponding projection 2S"".

In the designs shown in Fig. 9 and 10, a particularly intimate, positive and secure connection between the plate-shaped element and the inserted support piece is also ensured.

The embodiments shown in Fig. 4 to 10 can also be provided with a locking mechanism, as described in connection with Fig. 2.
