In the case of television receivers, it is inconvenient in the power supply part
-to use a mains transformer, as its stray field affects the sensitive picture tube
influenced. It is: therefore better; the device without a mains transformer in an all-current circuit
to operate, but then on a network with -low voltage of
z. B. i'io volts the power and the anode voltage often not.
waren.According to the invention, a switchable mains rectifier is therefore used for the power supply, which in the case of a high mains voltage (e.g. 2.20 volts) in normal one-way or full-wave circuit and in the case of a low mains voltage. (e.g. million volts) is operated in a voltage doubler circuit. Mains rectifiers of this type are already known in radio devices, but the known circuits have not been able to establish themselves in practice because they were too expensive to construct and operate.
Siebkondensator.According to the invention, therefore, in the switchable power rectifier
the rectifier path and / or the charging capacitor of the voltage doubler
switched on when switching to the high mains voltage in one-way or two-way switching
and used to strengthen their rectifiers or: the filter circuit. To this
Way it is possible to use the components present in the power rectifier both in the case of the
One- or two-way switching as well as with the voltage doubler switching full
exploit, and they can therefore be made smaller. Become useful
when switching to the high line voltage, the rectifier path of the voltage doubler circuit
and the rectifier section of the one-way or full-wave circuit connected in series
and the charging capacitor in the filter circuit, e.g. B. parallel to the first or second
Filter capacitor.
i bis 3 beispielsweise erläutert. The invention and related details are illustrated in FIG.
i to 3 explained for example.
Fig. i zeigt den Netzgleichrichter in SpannungsverdopplerschaItung
Fig. I shows the power rectifier in voltage doubler circuit
nach'Greinacher for operation at 100 volts alternating voltage. During the one
The capacitor C1 (charging capacitor) becomes half-wave of the mains voltage via the rectifier section

Cl to mains voltage; so that, the capacitor C2 through the rectifier G2 idle
is charged to double the peak voltage. At? Co: volt mains voltage
is: the rectifier switched to the normal one-way circuit according to FIG.
According to the invention, the rectifier path G1 of the voltage doubler circuit is thereby used
switched in series with the Gleiehrvehterabschnitt G2 in the one-way circuit and
the charging capacitor C1 in the filter chain parallel to the filter capacitor C2: at lower
and higher mains voltage are then all rectifier sections and capacitors
operationally exploited, and you can therefore dimension this smaller than with
the switchable mains rectifiers in universal current devices that have been customary up to now. With these
were namely at. the high mains voltage of the charging capacitor C1 and the DC link
G1 of the voltage doubler circuit switched off, and they were unused in the
Circuit. Correspondingly, the rectifier line G2 and the capacitor had to be
C2 can be dimensioned larger. The special type of switching according to. .the invention
also has the consequence that the sieving effect at low and high mains voltage
is approximately the same. In Fig. 3, the principle of switching is shown. It
a changeover switch <Ui to U4 is provided for this, via the contacts of which the capacitor Ci
and the DC link G1 can be switched over in two poles.

applied accordingly and the circuit supplemented accordingly. The invention is not
limited to the voltage doubler circuit according to G r e i n adre r, it comes
rather also with other doubler circuits into consideration, z. B. after D e
