This task is solved by a device design consisting of an easily transportable display panel provided with a digital display device, which is equipped with a power supply, a computer and a shortwave receiver with a decoder and receiving antenna, and at least one small, portable shortwave transmitter that can be attached to sports clothing and has a transmitting antenna and a coding device and power supply as well as a signal pulse generator.

In Fig. 1, the digit display device is designated with 1 on the display panel AZ. A computer 2 and a shortwave receiver 3 provided with a decoder are also arranged on or in the panel AZ; the display panel is also equipped with a receiving antenna 4.

The small, portable shortwave transmitter KS, which can be attached to sports clothing, as shown in Fig. 2 and 3, is provided with a bracket 11 for hooking onto a pocket or waistband. In particular, it is equipped with a transmitting antenna 5, a coding device 7 and the signal pulse generator B.

The coding device, together with the decoder of the receiver, allows hundreds of display devices to be operated simultaneously without them interfering with one another. It is also possible to link several display devices that are set up at different locations together and to operate them centrally by the players.

Fig. 4 shows a block diagram which contains the elements that are combined in the display panel. These are the shortwave receiver 3 with the decoders 3/1 and 3/2, the computer 2 with program selection device 12. This can be designed as an interchangeable program cassette or diskette, or the game programs can be installed as fixed programs and can be selected by pressing a button.

Furthermore, a cable connector 10 for a cable remote control can be provided.

The numeric display device is labeled 1 and the printer is labeled &thgr;. This is valuable, for example, in tournaments, as it is advantageous to have printed records of the game progress.
