Description Protective element for joints of floor care equipment

The innovation concerns a protective element for joints of floor care devices for connecting the device to a handle.

Such connections are known in which handles or pipes are connected to the base unit via a single joint point. This type of connection is used in particular in sweepers that are operated on vacuum cleaners.

The known solutions generally have the disadvantage that all stresses exerted by the handle on the joint or the device act on the joint point or its hoods or covers, so that in the event of a strong external impact, either these joints or their covers are damaged.

The aim of the innovation is now to create a protective element for hinges or joints and their covers on electrical devices that are subjected to above-average forces or loads, whereby the forces or loads are applied to the hinge or joint and damage to the corresponding elements is avoided.

According to the innovation, the task posed is ^solved in that an overall joint part (1) consists of two joint parts (2) which are arranged in an articulated manner relative to one another, the stem being received by the joint part (2) and an elastic element (4) with a wheel bolt (3) being attached to the joint part (2).

According to a further idea of the innovation, it is indicated that the joint parts (a) and (2) can be pivoted via the locking bolts (3) to form the overall joint (1) and that in the event of overloading of the handle (7) the locking bolt (3) is arranged to pivot out of the bore (6) *

The advantages that can be achieved with the innovation lie in the fact that the forces that cause the normal bending stress on the steel have been made "foldable"
