The invention relates to a furniture pull-out in the form of a drawer or pot pull-out, with a frame made of plastic and a base designed as a separate component.

In conventional drawers of this type, the base is usually inserted into a groove in the frame. However, this has the disadvantage that an unsightly and difficult to clean gap remains between the base and the frame.

Cup pull-outs with a plastic frame often have a lip on the lower inner edge of the frame that rests on the surface of the base, which forms a rounded corner in the transition area between the base and the frame. The frame is attached to the long sides of the pull-out on pull-out-side guide rails that reach under the underside of the base with a horizontally projecting flange and are screwed to the base. The frame is also provided with horizontally projecting dowels that engage in corresponding holes in the front surfaces of the base. Even with this type of attachment, it cannot be avoided that a gap is created between the base and the lip of the frame due to dimensional tolerances.

It is often desirable to produce the legs of the frame, which form the side walls and the rear wall of the pull-out, as separate components, so that the frame can be easily adapted to different pull-out widths by replacing the rear wall. In conventional pull-outs with such a multi-part frame, the individual legs are provided with horizontally projecting pins at the ends, which can be locked into corresponding openings in the adjacent leg. In order to avoid the gap between the frame and the floor, the floor is clamped tightly against the lower edge of the frame using dowels that protrude vertically from the edge of the frame.

In a multi-part frame, the individual legs can be pushed into one another vertically using guide profiles at their ends. Wedge surfaces on the guide profiles ensure that the legs are firmly clamped together when the guide profiles are pushed into one another, so that the butt joint is practically completely closed.

Advantageous further developments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

Since the base is inserted into the frame from below, the frame can be designed so that it encloses the edges of the base on the long sides and the back of the pull-out, so that the edges of the base do not need to be glued.

It is also possible to design the frame as a closed frame, so that the front part of the pull-out is covered on the back by a front leg of the frame. This protects the inner surface of the front part, which is usually made of wood, against scratches and damage. For front pieces that have a decorative frame and a filling, there is the further advantage that the gap between the filling and the frame on the inside of the pull-out is covered by the front leg of the frame.

The legs of the frame usually have an inverted U-shaped profile. Preferably, the open lower ends of the front and rear legs of the frame are completely closed by the edge areas of the base, so that the drawer has a solid, robust appearance. The side legs of the frame, which also serve to cover the runners, are each closed off by a strip welded into the U-profile above the runner. These strips also serve to stiffen the frame and support the runners. In addition, the welded strips reduce the resonance chamber formed inside the U-profile, so that the running noises when the drawer is pulled out and pushed in are dampened.

The inner surfaces of the frame are stepped. This provides additional reinforcement for the inner wall of the frame, which is attached to the floor, so that it rests on the floor with no gaps along its entire length. The step also means that the sides of the frame are narrower in the upper area, giving the frame a more delicate appearance.

A drawer 10 has a frame 12 made of plastic and a base 14 formed, for example, by a coated chipboard. The frame 12 forms a closed frame with side legs 16, 18, a rear leg 20 and a front leg 22, which rests on the inner surface of a front piece 24 of the drawer. The legs 16-22 are double-walled and each have a substantially inverted U-shaped profile. The side legs 16, 18 serve to cover the drawer-side and body-side runners 28 (right in Figure 1) and are reinforced above the runners by welded-in strips 30. and rear legs, guide grooves 34 for plastic partition walls 36 are formed in the lower area.

The inner walls of the legs are also provided along their lower edge with a lip 38 resting on the edge of the base 14, which forms a rounded corner in the transition area between the frame and the base. Several dowels 40 are formed on the lip and extend through vertical holes in the base 14. With the help of screws 42, which are screwed from the underside of the base 14 into axial screw channels of the dowels 40, the base 14 is firmly clamped against the underside of the lip 38, so that the gap between the lip 38 and the surface of the base 14 is tightly closed. At the front and rear edges of the drawer, the base 14 extends directly to the front piece 24 or the outer wall of the rear leg 20.

The four legs of the frame 12 are designed as separate components in the embodiment shown. Figure 3 shows the side leg 18 of the frame mounted on the base 14 in cross section. This leg has a rounded corner at the rear end and a connection area 44 for the rear leg 20 of the frame. As can be seen in Figure 4, a substantially T-shaped guide profile 46 is formed at the end of the connection area 44, the crossbar 48 of which runs obliquely to the butt joint 50 between the legs 18, 20 and forms a wedge surface 52. The leg 20 has an undercut groove 54 that is open at the lower end and closed at the upper end, which forms a wedge surface 56 that is complementary to the wedge surface 52. If the leg 20 is attached from above in the manner shown in Figure 3, the guide profile 46 engages in the undercut groove 54 of the leg 20

If the leg 20 is then firmly clamped against the base 14 using the screws 42, the wedge surfaces 52,56 sliding on each other cause the legs 18,20 to be firmly clamped against each other, so that the butt joint 50 is closed.

In a modified embodiment of the invention, the screw channels for the screws 42 are formed above the floor in the frame. In this case, the dowels 40 can be dispensed with.

The principle of mutual connection of the legs of the frame shown in Figures 3 and 4 is independent of the type of fastening of the frame to the floor. Instead of clamping the legs of the frame against the floor, a firm contact of the wedge surfaces and a tight closure of the butt joint can also be achieved by providing the connecting areas of the legs that engage with one another with suitable locking means that lock into place in the final assembly position and prevent mutual displacement of the legs in the longitudinal direction of the guide profiles.
