In dem Patent Nr. 85329, betreffend die Herstellung von Cellulosetetracetat, ist die' Bildung eines Zwischenproductes durch Vermischen von Cellulosehydrat mit Zinkacetat und Erhitzen der innigen Mischung beschrieben.In Patent No. 85329, relating to the manufacture of cellulose tetracetate, the 'formation is of an intermediate product by mixing cellulose hydrate with zinc acetate and heating the intimate mixture.
Gemäfs vorliegender Erfindung wird bei der Herstellung des Cellulosetetracetates das Zinkacetat durch Magnesiumacetat ersetzt, indem man 135 Theile krystallisirtes Magnesiumacetat (C4H6 OtMg, 4-i?2 O) auf 100 Theile trockenes Cellulosehydrat anwendet und das Product durch Erhitzen auf 1100C. gründlich trocknet. Dieses Zwischenproduct dient zur Herstellung von Cellulosetetracetat in der gleichen Weise wie das unter Verwendung von Zinkacetat erhaltene Zwischenproduct. Man pulvert das Zwischenproduct und mischt es allmälig mit Acetylchlorid, indem man 2 Mol. Acetylchlorid auf ι Mol. Magnesiumacetat anwendet.
