Fastening arrangement _ _> a screw nut _i _on_a housing

The invention relates to the fastening arrangement of a screw nut on a housing formed from sheet metal and has the sole aim of designing a similar fastening in an easily producible design without the aid of separate connecting and fastening elements and without welds and to purposefully use only parts of the housing sheet itself in a form-fitting arrangement.

According to the invention, the screw nut, which rests on the bottom of the housing and is coaxial with a hole in the bottom, is held both axially and against rotation by at least one tab cut from the bottom plate of the housing and folded twice to rest on at least one flank of the screw nut and on the front side of the screw nut facing the inside of the housing.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, two such tabs cut at an angle from the housing base are provided so as to rest against two flanks of the screw nut which are adjacent at this angle.

It is particularly advantageous to arrange a third tab for such a fastening, opposite the other two tabs, which protrudes from a side wall of the housing adjacent to the screw nut.

The tabs 7 and 8 serve to fix the screw nut 1 against rotation. In the case of the hexagon nut shown as an example, they are both cut from the base plate 9 of the housing 2 at an angle of 60 to one another and rest against two flanks 10 and 11 adjacent at this angle as well as on the front side 12 of the screw nuts 1 facing the inside of the housing.

When using a square nut, these caps 7 and 8 would have to be aligned at an angle of 90 to each other.
