Description

The invention relates to a pallet* which is a one-piece molded part produced by pressing with a male and a female mold and has an upper rectangular stacking surface and at least at the corners, preferably also in the middle of the sides and in the middle, support legs, whereby through openings for the fork of a forklift are arranged between the support legs and the undersides of the support legs lie in a plane forming a support surface.

Such pallets are well known. They are made of compressed wood, solid wood or, in particularly expensive versions, of pure plastic and, if they contain wood, have the disadvantage that they absorb a lot of moisture, which can lead to an undesirable increase in weight of up to 100%. Such pallets are susceptible to rotting and their mechanical strength leaves much to be desired. Particularly when delivering to tropical areas, pests that penetrate the wood material can be carried away, so that the use of pallets made of wood or wood components is sometimes prohibited.

It has already been proposed (utility model 86 00 136) to manufacture the pallet from material that is produced by recycling non-pure plastics using thermoplastics as a carrier element and adding reduced-size thermosets. Such pallets are resistant to pests and also

chemical influences. However, their strength, especially against bending stress when lifting the pallet with a forklift, leaves something to be desired. With wooden pallets, it is common practice to connect the bases of the feet with connecting slats to stiffen the pallet. However, this is not economically possible when manufacturing as a one-piece molded part.

In order to avoid the disadvantages described, the present invention is based on the object of improving a range of those mentioned at the beginning in such a way that, with good chemical resistance, pest nesting is reliably prevented and, at the same time, sufficient bending strength can be achieved with simple production.

To solve this problem, the invention provides that the pallet is made of material that is produced by recycling non-pure plastics using thermoplastics as a carrier element and adding reduced-size duroplastics and that at least the undersides of the pallet legs are connected to one another by roller rails running parallel to one another and that the area of the stacking surface above these roller rails has recesses.

The arrangement of the roller rails themselves results in a significant increase in strength, in particular in bending stiffness, which at the same time allows an overall reduction in wall thickness. The one-piece design and the associated

The achieved closed form significantly improves the mechanical and dynamic load-bearing capacity. A sufficient wall thickness of around 5 to 9, preferably around 7 mm, has been found, with the load-bearing surfaces being ribbed accordingly with this wall thickness. Production is simple and inexpensive using waste plastics, which can only be used in a reduced size if they are unsorted. If necessary, scrap pallets can be mixed into the production material after they have been shredded, so that practically waste-free production is possible. Textile plastic waste, such as carpet rug remnants, fabric waste, etc. can also be used for production; other textile fibers or fabric chips can also be mixed in to increase strength, especially bending strength.

A space-saving stackability of the pallets can be achieved by arranging the roller rails only parallel to the long side, whereby at least three roller rails can be provided, with normally nine support legs. To further increase the strength, the middle support legs can be connected to one another via two parallel roller rails arranged at a distance from one another, whereby the stacking surface then has four corresponding recesses above these roller rails.

A further increase in the load-bearing capacity of the pallets can be achieved by connecting the legs with each other using cross roller rails running across the long side.

To further save weight and increase strength, the roller rails and/or the cross roller rails can be reinforced with longitudinal ribs, whereby the average wall thickness of around 5 to 9, preferably around 7 mm, can be maintained with sufficient strength. The roller rails and/or cross roller rails can have longitudinal grooves open from the base to form the longitudinal ribs, so that rain, dripping water, etc. can drain off easily through the flat, unribbed support side and cannot accumulate on the pallet. In particular, this avoids an undesirable increase in weight during transport in the train.

The usability of the pallets can be further increased by having at least the legs arranged at the corners with open insertion openings for struts, side walls or the like from the stacking surface.

Openings in the base area must be provided for the arrangement of wheels in order to use the pallets as a base for mobile transport devices.

To increase strength, additional fiber, thread, fabric, wire and/or rope inserts can be provided. In particular, glass fibers and carbon fibers can ensure a significant increase in the load-bearing capacity of the pallets with a low construction weight. Particularly advantageously, the fiber, thread, wire and/or rope inserts can be embedded in the plastic, running parallel to the roller rails.

For the described embodiments, the same reference numerals are used for corresponding parts. The embodiment of a plate shown in Figures 1 to 5 consists of material which is obtained by recycling non-pure plastics using thermoplastics as a carrier element and adding shredded duroplastics. It is manufactured in one piece by pressing. It has a slatted frame-like stacking surface 1 for stacking items. To save weight and at the same time to increase strength, the underside of the stacking surface 1 is reinforced with ribs d , the ribs 2 preferably being designed so that the same wall thickness of about s to b, preferably about 1/4 mm, is maintained everywhere, with a standard dimension of the plate according to DIN of 1200 x 100 mm and a pallet height of 144 mm in the embodiment. In Figures 1 and 2 b, only about 1/4 of the palette is shown; since the palette is designed symmetrically to two planes of symmetry, this representation is sufficient to reveal the shape of the palette.

At the corners and in the middle, opposite the stacking surface 1, support legs 3 are provided. In the example, a total of 100 are used. The support legs are connected to one another parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pallet at the bottom by collapsible bridges 4, which together with the undersides of the support legs 3 form the support surface 5 of the pallet. The arrangement of these roller bridges significantly increases the overall flexural rigidity of the pallet, while at the same time this arrangement makes transporting the pallets, for example on roller conveyors, much easier.

In order to obtain a simple preform for producing the pallets, the areas above the roller backs 4 are accessible from above through recesses b in the stacking surface 1 by means of corresponding projections of the preform stamp _B of the press mold, so that no preform with sliders or a multi-part preform is required.

Between the support legs 3, the roller rails 4 and the stacking surface 1, a through opening 7 is provided for the forks of a forklift truck, whereby in the exemplary embodiment, with a height of the roller rails 4 of 22 mm and a thickness of the stacking surface 1 of also 22 mm, a clear height of 100 mm is achieved.
