In dem Patent 854241 ist eine Lichtbogenschweißanordnung beschrieben, welche eine gelenkig gelagerte, ummantelte Elektrode sowie eine von Hand geführte Elektrode aufweist. Diese sind im folgenden kurz als erste Elektrode und als Handelektrode bezeichnet. Hierbei sind gerade Elektroden vorgesehen, wobei die feste Elektrode in einem schrägen Winkel zum Werkstück angeordnet ist. Dies hat den Vorteil, daß die Blaswirkung des Lichtbogens verringert, der Einbrand bei der Naht vergrößert wird und die je Längeneinheit der Schweißnaht aufgeschmolzene Menge Elektrodenmetall konstant ist. In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung kann man die Elektrode an dem einen Ende eines Zwischenstückes einspannen, dessen anderes Ende gelenkig an einem Lagerbock befestigt ist.
