Description
Flexible holder The invention is based on the object of a flexible holder for any body and various areas of application create, which has a great mobility and their position simply in @ \ 'eiten Limits can be changed. The bracket should be despite its great mobility in any position can be influenced in such a way that it is either completely becomes stiff or remains more or less easy to move. This is supposed to go through simple operating handles are made possible.
The tasks described above are achieved in accordance with the principle that a hollow cord is formed from individual limbs that are continuously or intermittently movable relative to one another within more or less wide limits Gas pressure can be influenced in the desired way. In this way one can cause the hollow strand to be more or less movable or else to become a completely rigid structure. Particularly advantageous because of the versatile mobility and the achievable simple arrangement is a bracket that is made up of a number of ball joints. Such a holder is shown as an exemplary embodiment for the subject matter of the invention in FIG. Two of the components that work together are denoted by i and 2 in this figure. Such an individual link is shown separately in FIG. It consists of a shell-shaped part 3, the inner surface of which has the shape of a sphere, and a likewise spherical attachment part 4 connected to it, which engages in the shell of the next joint component. The joint part 4 is in some way, for. As shown in Fig. 2, made elastic by slitting so that it can be deformed. In Fig. I the further implementation of the basic principle described can now be seen in more detail. In the interior of the articulated cord formed by the components, i and 2, an elastic hose 5, natural or synthetic rubber hose, is inserted, which can be pushed apart elastically to the outside by a gas or a liquid. About the provided in the illustrated embodiment intermediate pad 6, which is preferably also made of an elastic material, the pressure exerted inside the hose 5 acts on the elastic joint part 4 and presses it against the shell 3. As a result, drer between the joint part 4 and the Shell 3 prevailing friction is @thereby the mobility of the structure depending on the pressure reduced or eliminated at all. If necessary, you can, through. appropriate treatment of the related contact surfaces with each other in the overall steering parts increase the Reiibungskaeffizienten, so that the structure is virtually completely rigid even when not particularly large pressures in the hose. 5 The intermediate pieces 6 can also be made of natural rubber, synthetic rubber or some other elastic material. They can also be designed as suitably slotted bent sheets or spiral springs. The arrangement only has to be made in such a way that the pressure generated inside the tube 5 is transmitted to the elastic joint parts 4. The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that the holder is movable in all directions. You can through appropriate training: the interlocking joint parts, z. B. achieve by attaching appropriate notches and with these cooperating springs that certain positions of the holding member are preferred, so @ that you can produce these positions in a simple way and quickly: can. The locking and unlocking of the holding device is quick and safe. The mobility of the bracket is infinitely variable within wide limits. In addition, remote control of the device is possible in a simple manner. For certain applications, the mobility of the strands can be changed by controlling the oil or gas pressure according to a specific program. You also have the option of operating many strands at the same time. The space requirement: the arrangement is very small, since it is smooth holding parts without locking screws, lateral stiffeners, etc.; With a relatively low weight, you can achieve a very high strength of the bracket. If the mounts are particularly highly stressed, the holding members can be designed in such a way that the cross-section of the strand increases after those points where there is a higher bending moment.
In FIG. 3, the holding part is denoted by 7. It sits on a base plate 8 and carries, for example, a stand clamp g. By depressing an operating lever io, a pump can: Generate a gas or liquid pressure within the hollow strand, which gives the holder the required rigidity. The lever @ i8 does not need to be depressed all the time, of course. Rather, by shutting off the intermediate line ii with the aid of the locking valve ii2, it is possible to ensure that the pressure in the line is maintained. This valve: is also used for unlocking. A check valve can also be provided so that when the lever is depressed, the strand maintains its rigidity until an internal unlocking valve 12 enables the 01 or the other pressure medium to flow back into the storage space.
In Figure 4, a multiple bracket is shown, which consists of the strands 13, 14, 15 and 16, which attack the object 17 at any point. The locking device, which can be constructed in the same way as that according to FIG. 3 is denoted by 18 here.
The application possibility of the invention is largely. Tripods of all Art, general components in mechanical engineering, holding elements for carrying out operations are examples of the applications in which: the invention brings advantages. As far as the technical production of the subject matter of the invention is concerned, it should be pointed out that @ That it can be made economical because the holding organs for the various lengths, always made of the same type, simple in series production manufacturable parts are assembled.
