The innovation refers to an adjustable product display rack according to the generic term of l.

When presenting goods, especially clothing, in retail outlets, the problem arises of optimally filling the sales area with the goods on offer. In the case of rapidly changing types of goods, the presentation materials should therefore be able to be adapted to a different offer situation without a great deal of time and preferably without replacing or additionally using supporting elements.

There are already boom and frame designs in which the main structural parts are tailored to specific types of goods or clothing sizes. Simple adjustments to suit changing presentation tasks are therefore usually only possible to a limited extent.

The aim of the present innovation is therefore to propose an adjustable product display rack that, in conjunction with a wall or column support arrangement, can be adapted to rapidly changing conditions in a clear manner and preferably without tools.

Another task is to design the replaceable or adjustable components of the product display rack in such a way that they can be handled easily and safely.

have a free space 1' on the inside for receiving hanging elements. The free space 1 ¹ is delimited on the outside by the base wall 2 ^f of a guide groove 2, in which base wall 2' openings 1'· are made for receiving engagement cams3, which are located, for example, on the bracket 4 of a support element 5, which is constructed from two tab elements 4' and projects at right angles from the support member 1. The latter consists of the bracket 4 and an oval tubular connecting body 6 with lateral mounting surfaces 6' (Fig.3), of which at least one is provided with an elongated boom 7 which is essentially at right angles to the support element plane 5 ¹ .

The boom 7 has a cross-sectional shape shown on a larger scale in Fig. 2, part of which has the shape of an inverted C and is therefore referred to below simply as C-rail 7. Details of the cross-sectional shape will be discussed later. An anchoring member, generally designated 9 and shown on a larger scale and in more detail in Figs. 2 and 4, can be suspended in a receiving space 8 of the C-rail 7 that is open towards the support member 1 at the rear in the position of use and, as shown in Fig. 3, can be moved in the direction of the arrows L and R.

The anchoring member 9 is part of a presentation frame support 10, which in the example shown is shown as an inclined oval tube support with sliding locking means 11, but can also have a different shape.

Two side walls 12 are bent onto a base plate 13 of the anchoring member 9, one (lower) end of which is stabilized by a stiffening end plate 14 and the other (upper) end of which is stabilized by a locking bolt 15.

The rear of the anchoring member 9 can also be closed off by a cover cap 14'. The anchoring member 9 thus takes on a box-like shape. In the plane of the side walls 12 there are hook members 16 _' , on the front end of which a locking nose 16' is formed which projects downwards or is bent essentially parallel to the base plate 13. The locking bolt 15 is set back slightly from the stop surfaces 17' of the side surfaces 12 which lie above the hook members 16 and contains one (or more) threaded holes 18 for receiving an adjusting screw 18', the insertion of which is described further below.

According to Fig. 2, the boom 7 is made of a practically rigid box profile. The receiving space 8 for the hook links 16 located at the rear of the boom 7 has a mouth-shaped shape and is limited on its underside by an upwardly projecting longitudinal locking rib 19 which, in the position of use of the anchoring member 9, serves as a locking stop for the locking lugs 16' on the hook links 16, as will be described later. The upper limit of the mouth-shaped receiving space ⁸ forms a downwardly projecting longitudinal stop rib 20, the stop surface 21 of which interacts with the stop surface 17 of the anchoring member 9.

The opening width w of the receiving space 8 is small, preferably only a clearance larger than the height h of the hook links 16, and the curve V ₃ which also defines the back edges of the hook links 16 is dimensioned such that the hook links 16 can easily pass through the opening width w when an anchoring link 9 is to be inserted into the receiving space 8.

Figure 2 shows how the anchoring member 9 of the display frame support 10 is inserted into the C-rail 7 in order to achieve a positive engagement. First, the frame support 10 is raised in an anti-clockwise direction so that the hook members 16 can pass through the opening (opening width w) between the locking and stop ribs 19, 20. The engagement is then carried out by pivoting backwards as shown in Figure 1. The locking lugs 16' then engage behind the locking rib 19. At the same time, the flat back section at the upper end of the hook curve r also comes under the stop rib 20, so that an upward movement of the anchoring member 9 is no longer possible: the hook members 16 are caught in the opening of the receiving space 8. Likewise, the stop surfaces 17 (at the upper end of the anchoring member 9) and 21 (on the stop rib 20) come into contact with each other. The frame support 10 engages the boom 7 under the influence of gravity. Small corrections to the vertical position of the anchoring member 9 or the parallel alignment of the frame supports 10 can be carried out using the adjusting screw 18' in the locking bolt 15. Several frame supports 10 can be used at a distance from one another on a C-rail 7, where only the left-hand section described in more detail is critical or must be coordinated with the hook links 16. The right-hand C-rail section can be shaped as desired. However, it is designed primarily according to aesthetic aspects, &ngr; .. . stability and weight criteria of the boom can also be included.

Finally, it can also be omitted if the latter criteria can be fulfilled by the design of the left section.

To secure the support element 5 against falling off the support member 1 when manipulating the frame supports, the console 4 can be provided with a locking device 22 of a known type that can be operated from the front. In the case of Figs. 1 and 3, a mounting block 23 and an adjusting screw 2k that can be tightened against the support member 1 are provided for this purpose.
