Den meisten bekannten Lösungsvorschlägen ist gemeinsam, daß man versucht, die Schuhsohle selbst leitfähig zu machen oder eine leitfähige Einlegesohle zu verwenden, Hierzu wurden bereits Einlegesohlen aus leitfähigem Kunststoff verwendet, welche jedoch nicht fußfreundlich sind und deshalb vor allem bei Arbeitsschuhen zu einer starken Schweißbildung führen.
