An den Rändern der beiden Scheiben sind Markierungen in Form von Buchstaben, Zahlen und Farben aufgetragen. Die Kreiselachse a ist auf der Grundplatte d leicht drehbar, beispielsweise als Rohr, auf einem auf der Grundplatte festsitzenden Stift angeordnet. An der Grundplatte ist ferner ein Zeiger e fest montiert sowie eine Bremsvorrichtung, die beispielsweise aus einem Blechbügel f besteht, der durch die Stifte g schwenkbar an der Grundplatte d gelagert ist. Durch Druck auf die Bügelmitte heben sich die beiden Bügelenden, drücken dadurch die große Kreiselscheibe b sowie die kleine Scheibe c hoch und stoppen dadurch die Drehbewegung der großen Scheibe, während die kleine Scheibe c infolge eigner Massenbeschleunigung sich noch etwas weiter dreht. Durch das Anheben der Scheiben b und c werden diese dem Zeiger näher gebracht, wodurch eine genauere Ablesung der Spielergebnisse ermöglicht ist. Der Zeiger e bildet außerdem eine Begrenzung der nach oben abhebbaren Kreiselscheiben.
