Description

The present invention relates to an improved intraocular lens for use as an artificial lens implant in the posterior chamber, especially after cataract operations.
During the "cataract" operation, the clouded natural lens of the eye is at least partially removed, with the back wall of the lens and its connection to the ciliary muscle, i.e. the so-called posterior lens capsule, being preserved if possible. It may happen accidentally that remains of the lens cortex remain in the operation in ter lens posterior capsule and later cause turbidity of the capsule, the so-called "secondary cataract", which can be a post-Star treatment are required. The post-star treatment can be carried out with the (artificial) intraocular lens lying down by bombarding the lens posterior capsule with a neodymium-YAG bearing, which practically acts at the focus point as if small explosions were triggered there. In this type of post-cataract treatment, the posterior lens capsule is separated and the pulling action of the ciliary muscle or the ciliary threads creates a window-like opening in the posterior lens capsule. If, when the neodymium-YAG laser takes effect, the posterior lens capsule is in close contact with the rear wall of the intraocular lens, which is mostly made of plastic, it cannot be safely avoided that the laser will also damage the artificial lens. Intraocular lenses have therefore already been developed which have spacers on the side facing the inside of the eye, creating a gap of, for example, 0.3 mm width between the lens posterior capsule and the intraocular lens, which allows a targeted exclusive action of the laser on the lens posterior capsule. These spacers represent relatively sharp-edged cams that do not allow the intraocular lens to be inserted in the usual way with rotation, since the risk involved
At the same time, this also requires a different shape for those attached to the lens, for anchoring the lens 1 bracket serving the orbital chamber. This can in particular with the desired, as large as possible formation of the window-like Opening in the posterior capsule of the lens during the post-cataract treatment to a not completely perfect and immovable situation the intraocular lens.
The disadvantages of the known intraocular lenses are due to the rear chamber lens according to the invention cleared. This is supposed to be based on of the drawings illustrating preferred embodiments of the invention are explained:
Figure 1 shows a plan view of the back of the invention Posterior chamber lens. On the back of the lens body (1), which is made of plastic in the usual way, are attached - preferably four - bead-shaped cams (2), of which two pieces apart from being used as spacers also for fastening the bracket (3) are used. The cams (2) are preferably made of the same material as the lens body (1) to which they are attached can then be formed during its manufacture.
Die BUgel (3) bestehen aus einem biegsamen, federnden Kunststoff wieFour to six cams are expediently provided, four of which are preferred in a symmetrical arrangement. Both the bracket (3) carrying cams (2) are in relation to the lens center 180 0 C offset from each other on the periphery of the rear side of the lens body mounted (1), as shown in FIG. 1 To make it easier to insert or position the lens, the lens body (1) contains two to four positioning holes (4) in a manner known per se. The bracket (3) are made of a flexible, resilient plastic such as
z. B. Polypropylen. B. polypropylene. You can be bent as shown in Figure 1, but it is also the opposite direction of rotation of the bend (as indicated in Figure 1a) possible. In addition, it is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1a for one of these brackets (3 ») that the brackets (3) e.g. B. for implantation largely to the edge of the
Lens body (1) can be printed. After insertion By springing back the lens, they then ensure that it sits securely, firmly and without irritation in the posterior chamber.
Figures 2a and 2b each give a side view of different! Formations of the posterior chamber lens according to the invention again. As shown in Figure 2a, the bracket (3) angled forward in relation to the plane of the lens rear side but they can also, as can be seen from FIG. 2b, in or parallel to the plane of the rear side of the lens body (U lie.
As can also be seen from Figures 2a and 2b, the bead-shaped Cam (2) preferably the same height and one on the back of the lens plane-parallel middle section. This is explained even more clearly by FIG. 3, which shows a section in FIG Plane A-B from Figure 1a through the lens body (1) with a molded cam (2) reproduces on a somewhat enlarged scale. In particular, the beveled side surfaces of the cams (2) can also be seen therein, which give them the aforementioned bead shape and allow the cams to slide safely on the posterior lens capsule when the lens is rotated.
Die Nocken (2) liegen an der Linsenhinterkapsel (7) (die ihrerseits durch die Ciliarfäden (8) gehalten wird) an und bewirken so die Ausbildung eines Spaltes (9) zwischen der Rückseite des Linsenkörpers (1) und der Linsenhinterkapsel .Finally, FIG. 4 shows a schematic section through the The front part of an eye with the implanted posterior chamber lens according to the invention represents: The lens body (1) is through the bracket (3), which are anchored in the posterior chamber between the iris (5) and the ciliary muscle (6). The cams (2) are on the Posterior lens capsule (7) (which in turn is carried by the ciliary threads (8) is held) and thus cause the formation of a gap (9) between the back of the lens body (1) and the posterior lens capsule .
Durch die geschilderte, erfindungsgemäße Ausbildung der Hinterkammerlinse ist ein leichtes und gefahrloses Implantieren, ein sicherer und irritationsfreier Sitz der Intraokularlinse sowieDue to the described design of the posterior chamber lens according to the invention is an easy and safe implantation, a safe and irritation-free fit of the intraocular lens as well
eine einwandfreie Nach-Starbehandlung mit Hilfe des Neodym-YAG-Lasers ohne Risiko für die eingesetzte Linse gewährleistet, d. h. die für die bekannten Intraokularlinsen gegebenen Nachteile werden durch die vorliegende Erfindung in jeder Weise ausgeräumt.a perfect after-cataract treatment with the help of the neodymium-YAG laser guaranteed without risk to the lens used, d.
