Description
Dry lubrication is known to require mechanisciic devices to lubricate all kinds and to take the necessary precautions because the good working of the mechanical devices to a large extent from the lubrication is dependent. On the other hand, however, various attempts have already been made to be aware of the need for a special one, especially in the case of small parts Free lubrication. In view of this goal one has, albeit without a great deal Success, tries to run the axes of electrical counters without any lubrication permit. Very small ball bearings have also been developed for this purpose.
According to the invention, parts of the most varied types and functions be lubricated in a dry way, namely through an extremely thin, yes even monomolecular layer of solid lubricants. As a dry lubricant are long-chain saturated fatty acids or one of their salts or, whole Generally speaking, a substance is used whose molecules form a monomolecular layer have adhesiveness and orientation ability. The one mentioned monomolecular layer can expediently according to the invention by simple, dry Rub in the lubricant! A particularly preferred dry lubricant according to the invention is barium stearate, but also zinc and lead stearate. It will Lubricant applied in the form of a dry powder to the surface to be lubricated, so it must absolutely be rubbed in well in order to adhere and align to effect the molecules. Becomes barium stearate as a preferred lubricant is used, an orientation of its molecules only takes place when it is dry is applied. The barium stearate molecules do not orient themselves in solution. One However, lubrication with barium stearate is much more permanent than e.g. B. lubrication with paraffin oil, stearic acid, etc.
Apart from the general application possibilities of the invention in the field of precision mechanics are certain application examples Called threads on optical devices where it is essential that the Keep glasses free from contact with more or less liquid lubricants will. Such threads are also used for dry lubrication according to FIG Invention in question.
Another application example is the use of dry lubrication according to the invention to achieve better sliding of gramophone needles called the surface of gramophone records. The dry lubrication according to the invention However, it must not be confused with the attempts made to reduce it the friction of gramophone needles and with which certain, the material Soaps of unsaturated acids have been added to the resins forming the plates. the Unsaturated acids are not suitable for producing monomolecular layers and the solubility of such soaps also prevents sufficient durability of the layers.
Another type of dry lubrication according to the invention exists that in the case of parts made of plastic, such as. B. Components of precision mechanics or gramophone records that incorporate dry lubricant into the plastic compound is. Due to the friction that arises when using these fittings, forms as with the dry rubbing of the lubricant according to the invention, a monomolecular smear layer on the surface of the molded parts, these Smear layer due to the inside of the fitting and due to the friction Molecules of the lubricant that come to the surface are always supplemented 1) betw. v011 new is generated.
This characterized by the introduction of the lubricant iti plastics @ \ usführungsforni the invention is of particular advantage in bearings such. B. Rolling mill journal bearings, which are formed from plastic materials, can be used. There are also camps at 13. made from polymerized vinyl chloride, which is great Speeds, 2,000 tours per minute, under low loads, up to 251: "/ c1,12, endure. The introduction of barium stearate in (las X-iiiy ° lchloride offers because of of the low l? r \\, eiclitings point of the same no trouble.
The dry lubrication according to the invention thus allows the difficult and hitherto only imperfectly solved problem of narrowing such parts to a simple one and completely new way of solving. A modified embodiment of the invention in Finally, the connection with Graniinophon records consists in the lubricant is introduced into the needle itself if the needle is made of a plastic.
The introduction of the cutting means is not only possible with such needles which are used for sound reproduction, but can also be applied to needles find that are not used for sound reproduction and with rapid wear and tear the task have, from time to time, enjoy the slackening of the plate after the process of the Sustaining Invention.
