Magnetogrammträger Die bisher bekannten Magnetogrammträger, die bekanntlich dazu dienen, Schallwellen durch magnetische Beeinflussung magnetisierbarer Stoffe aufzunehmen und wiederzugeben, bestehen entweder aus massiven Stahldrähten bzw. Stahlbändern oder aus einem bandförmigen Träger aus unmagnetischem Werkstoff, z. B. präpariertem Papier, Acetylcellulose, Polyv inchlorid, Luwitherm, oder auch aus Glas in Form von Glaswolle oder Glasgespinsten aus sehr feinen Glasfäden, deren Stärke vorzugsweise unter io,u liegt, und einem magnetisierbaren Werkstoff, z. B. Die Magnetogrammträger aus massiven Stahldrähten oder Stahlbändern sind nicht beweglich genug, neigen gern zu Rißbildungen und befriedigen vielfach nicht in ihrerelektroakustischen Güte, während die Magnetogrammträger mit einem Trägerstoff aus präpariertem Papier, Acetylcellulose, Polyvinchlorid, Luwitherm o. dgl. eine zu geringe Festigkeit besitzen, hygroskopisch sowie zu stark dehnbar sind und da sie eine bestimmte Breite und Dicke wegen der erforderlichen Zerreißfestigkeit nicht unterschreiten dürfen, zu große und schwere Rollen des aufgespulten Trägers ergeben. Die Magnetogrammträger mit einem unmagnetischen Trägerstoff aus feinen Glasfäden besitzen zwar schon eine hohe Zerreißfestigkeit, erfordern daher keine großen Abmessungen, so daß sie aufgewickelt kleine und leichte Rollen ergeben, sind nicht hygroskopisch und nicht in einem eine einwandfreie Schallaufzeichnung beeinträchtigenden Ausmaße dehnbar. Aber auch diese Glasfäden als unmagnetischen Trägerstoff aufweisenden Magnetogrammträger besitzen ebenso wie alle anderen, hei denen der magnetisierbare Stoff auf den Trägerstoff in Pulverform nur aufgebracht ist, den Nachteil, daß sich die auf sie unter Verwendung eines Bindemittels aufgebrachten pulverförmigen Teilchen des magnetisierbaren Werkstoffes, z. B. Magnetitpulver oder Carbonyleisen, beim Vorbeilaufen des Magnetogrammträgers an den Magnetköpfen der Geräte zur Schallaufzeichnung und Wiedergabe von ihren Trägern leicht lösen und dabei durch ihre Schmirgelwirkung die Magnetköpfe rasch zerstören.However, these known magnetogram carriers still have shortcomings affect the widespread use of the magnetophone method based on them.
