Description
Antenna input arrangement for ultra short wave receivers It is known in the reception technology of the short and ultrashort wave, both symmetrical Antenna arrangements as well as unbalanced arrangements, especially with coaxial ones Cables to be used as a supply line. dun it has turned out to be extremely annoying found that one can use either antenna shape or its connection to the receiver cannot use the same switching elements and in particular also the input circuit must be changed, especially in many cases, especially if the receiving device comes into the hands of laypeople, the use of a particular antenna and the appropriate one Supply line is not always guaranteed. These points of view are all the greater Role, the shorter the shafts to be used and are particularly important, e.g. B. in television receivers or when receiving frequency-modulated waves, as they have recently to an increasing extent also for broadcasting purposes, especially in the area around 6 and 3 meter wavelength, find application.
The present invention has now set itself the task of the same Input arrangement for both balanced and unbalanced To make antenna arrangement usable. This is achieved by having two separate Input sockets are provided, at least one of which is a shielded socket for concentric Lines is formed, and that the input circuit of the receiving device is connected between the two sockets.
Fig.4 zeigt eine andere Ausführungsform. On the basis of two exemplary embodiments and the illustrations, in the inventive concept will be explained below. Fig. I shows initially in principle the input arrangement without the antenna, while FIGS. 2 and 3 show the connection of the illustrate both types of antenna. Fig. 4 shows another embodiment.
In Fig. I, i denotes the input circuit connected to the sockets 2 and 3 is placed, of which at least one, in the example the socket 2, as a shielded High-frequency socket is designed for concentric lines. Both become functional isolated on the chassis. Let the grid circle on coil i, for example 4, which is tuned to the receiving frequency, coupled, the tube follows it 5 as an inlet pipe.
The antenna arrangement is now used to implement the inventive concept either to both sockets or only to socket 2, depending on whether it is is a symmetrical or asymmetrical arrangement.
The input circuit i is now between the two antenna lead wires. The overall arrangement is to be made in such a way that the symmetry of the input circuit is not disturbed. If a capacitance to ground occurs through the outer conductor 6 of the socket 2 which disturbs the symmetry, a compensating capacitance 9 can be used for compensation. If, however, an asymmetrical antenna is used, which is preferably led to the receiving device via a concentric cable, the result is arrangements similar to that shown in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 3.
The antenna io is brought down via the concentric cable i i, which ends in the concentric connector 12. This is connected to socket 2, while socket 3 remains unused. The end of the coil i lying on socket 3 becomes connected via a short-circuit connection to the outer conductor 6 of the socket 2, such as this is also already shown in Figure 2, in which this connection does not have a harmful effect. Since in general the cable itself is not properly grounded and the earthing is expediently carried out in the immediate vicinity of the input circuit, this is automatically in a further development of the inventive concept when inserting of the plug 12 into the socket 6 caused. The socket 2 is therefore used as a switching socket formed and provided for this purpose a spring 13, the mechanical, but not can be electrically connected to the outer conductor 6 and connected to ground. Through the Insertion of the plug 12 becomes the spring 13 by lifting off the insulating piece 14 connected to a contact 15 connected to 6 and thus the outer conductor is earthed. In Fig. 2 this contact arrangement is already shown, but, as can be seen, when open. It is of course not necessary to have the grounding of the outer conductor to do automatically, but this can also be done by simple manual switching depending on the antenna used. For example, the outer conductor 6 of the Socket 2 is permanently connected to ground and only the connection line to socket 3 is optional be opened. This measure can also be done automatically if socket 3 as Switching socket is formed, in such a way that when inserting the plug in socket 3 the connection with 6 is canceled. In the case of a symmetrical arrangement this connection would then be interrupted. It is also possible, in particular with the latter type of training and manual switching with symmetrical antenna input make an earth ground in the middle of the input coil and make the switch connection 16 as shown in FIG.
For reasons of adaptation, it is advisable to ensure that the antenna line and the input circuit have approximately the same characteristic impedance. But since concentric Cables usually do not have the same characteristic impedance as the symmetrical input arrangement have, it is expedient to optionally connect two existing antenna arrangements to equalize the wave resistances by transformation in front of the device, if a appropriate dimensioning cannot be carried out from the outset.
