Die Zweige biegen sich unter der Last der Kerzen, gehen aber unter Umständen, wenn das Gewicht beim Abbrennen abnimmt, wieder teilweise nach oben, so daß die Lage der Kerzen zu den anderen Zweigen nicht unter allen Umständen gleich bleibt und somit die Gefahr auftritt, daß die Flamme den anderen Zweigen zu nahe kommt. Das äußere Rohr i ist mit einem Schlitz 7 versehen, der gestattet, das Rohr 2 mehr oder weniger weit auszuschieben und damit den Abstand der Kerzen vom Stamm festzulegen. An seinem Ende trägt das Rohr i eine Holzschraube 6 und eine Vorrichtung 5, mit deren Hilfe die Schraube 6 in den Stamm des Christbaumes eingeschraubt werden kann.
