Zwischen dem Spannbackenpaar d und dem Bördelrand c des Rohres a befindet sich ein Ringstempel f, der analog dem Spannbackenpaar d mehrteilig und aufklappbar ist. Der Ringstempel f kann zweckmäßig in dem Spannbackenpaar d geführt "-erden und umfaßt das Rohr a mit geringem Spiel. Das dem Bördelrand c zugewandte Stauchende des Stempels f muß genau dem Bördelrand c entsprechend geformt sein. Über denRingstempel f wird der zumVerschweißen notwendige Druck auf den Bördelrand ausgeübt. Zweckmäßig wird das Stauchende des Ringstempels f nach Art eines Döppers geformt, so daß ein sauberer Bund entsteht, der keine Nacharbeit erfordert. Die Verhinderung von Streckungen des Rohres a zwischen dem Rand c und den Spannbacken d leim Schweißvorgang erfolgt durch Nachschieben des Backenpaares d in Richtung des Bördelrandes c gleichzeitig mit dem Andrücken des Ringstempels, dessen Weg in Richtung Schweißstelle begrenzt sein muß. Verfahren zum elektrischen Widerstandsschweißen dünnwandiger Rohre aus schweißbaren Stoffen zu Konstruktionen, wie Gestelle, Roste, Fahrzeugrahmen, insbesondere Fahrradrahmen, Rohrregister, Radiatoren, wobei längsseitig an einem Rohr an beliebigen Stellen in beliebigen Winkeln abzweigende Rohre, deren Inneres gegebenenfalls mit den anderen Rohren in Verbindung steht, angeschweißt werden, wobei die Schweißstellen der zu verbindenden Rohre während des Schweißens gegeneinandergedrückt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die anzuschweißenden Rohrenden mit einem sauber an die Schweißstelle des anderen Rohres (b) anliegenden Bördelrand (c), der als Schweißfläche dient, versehen werden.
