Das Kartenprisma für Lamb'sche Strickmaschinen mit Jacquardvorrichtung wurde bisher durch einen besonderen Handhebel in die Höhe gehoben, damit die Jacquardmusterkette die entsprechenden Nadeln in die Arbeitslage bringt. Beim Arbeiten an der Jacquardmaschine sind aber beide Hände sehr beschäftigt, so dafs es wünschenswerth ist, beim Anheben des Prisma die linke Hand frei zu-haben. Um dies zu ermöglichen, wird auf Grund vorliegender Erfindung die Kurbel der Strickmaschine gleichzeitig zum Anheben' des Jacquardprisma benutzt. Bekanntlich arbeitet bei Strickmaschinen mit Jacquardvorrichtung die Kurbel gewöhnlich nur im oberen Bogen, d. h. sie wird nicht herumgedreht, und deshalb sind unterhalb der Kurbel gewöhnlich die Kurbellager a a¹ an dem Strickmaschinengestell befestigt.The card prism for Lamb's knitting machines with a jacquard device was previously raised by a special hand lever so that the jacquard pattern chain brings the corresponding needles into the working position. Wird nun die Kurbel in gewöhnlicher Weise im oberen Bogen gedreht, so legt sich dieselbe auf das Kurbellager α¹ auf, ohne den Mechanismus b c d e g zu bethätigen, da zum Heben des Jacquardprisma und der Musterkette h immerhin gewisse Kraft aufgewendet werden mufs. Wird dagegen die Kurbel i mit gewissem Druck gegen a¹ geprefst, so dreht sich Kurbellager a^l um Zapfen £², bewegt dadurch den Hebelarm b nach abwärts, zieht infolge dessen b¹ in die Höhe, so dafs durch die Verbindung von b¹ mit e das Prisma in bekannter Weise gehoben wird und die Musterkette in der üblichen Weise die Musternadeln einrückt. Sobald dann die Kurbel wieder in die Höhe bewegt wird, geht das Jacquardprisma, welches in Führungen k am Hinterbett geführt wird, zurück. Das selbsttätige Umsteuern des Jacquardprisma wird hierbei durch eine Klinke / bewirkt, welche in Zähne m eines Schaltrades η eingreift. Ein zu weites Drehen, d. h. Ueberdrehen, wird dadurch verhindert, dafs auf dem Jacquardprisma f eine polygonale Scheibe ο befestigt ist, welche so viel Seiten als das Schaltrad η besitzt und gegen deren Umfang sich eine durch starke Feder ρ belastete drehbare Klinke q legt (s.
