Als · Veredlungsmethode wird das übliche Kopuliren und Anplatten beibehalten. Die Verbesserung liegt lediglich darin, dafs man das theure Baumwachs erspart und zum Verbinden der Veredlungsstelle ein besonderes •^Bindematerial verwendet, welches sich nicht theurer stellt als dasjenige, welches bisher dazu verwendet wurde. Aufserdem wird auch ein Arbeiter unnöthig, welcher sonst die Veredlungsbandage mit Baumwachs bestrich. Dazu kommt noch, dafs das Wachsthum der Edelreiser bei den ohne Baumwachs veredelten Bäumen ein weit üppigeres, schnelleres und freudigeres ist, als bei denen, welche mit Baumwachs veredelt sind. Mehrere Wochen nach dem Veredeln wird gelöst, d./h. die Bandage wird theilweise abgelöst, fheilweise durchschnitten; hierbei bemerkt ' man, dafs durch das Baumwachs das Bindematerial derartig unnachgiebig gemacht ist, dafs es in Edelreis und Wildling tief eingedrungen und nur sehr mühsam zu entfernen ist; ferner bemerkt man, dafs es hier oder da zwischen die Schnittwunde gedrungen ist und dafs an diesen Stellen der Saftumlauf. stockt oder, besser gesagt, dafs an diesen Stellen Wildling und Edelreis nicht zusammengewachsen sind und das Edelreis nur wenig am Wildling hält, oft aber schon beim Lösen abfällt.The usual copulation and flattening is retained as the finishing method. the The only improvement lies in the fact that one saves the expensive tree wax and has to combine it the finishing agency uses a special binding material that is not dearer than that which has been used up to now.
