Die Neuerung betrifft einen Lenkradschutz, insbesondere zur Verwendung in Kraftfahrzeugwerkstätten, um das Lenkrad gegen Verschmutzungen im Werkstattbetrieb zu schützen. Bekannt sind Schutzüberzüge aus Kunststoffolie, wie sie beispielsweise in dem DBGM 7 632 220 beschrieben sind. Hier wird ein bandförmiger Teil einer Kunststoffolie um den Lenkradumfang herumgelegt und festgedrückt, wobei das Kunststoffmaterial am Lenkradumfang haften bleibt und diesen vor Verunreinigungen schützt. Andererseits kennt man auch bereits ringförmige Kunststoffbänder, die unter Spannung um ein Lenkrad herumgelegt werden und sich dem Lenkradumfang anschmiegen, wobei sie durch die Spannung festgehalten werden. Alle diese bekannten Lenkradschutzüberzüge haben den Nachteil, daß sie sich sehr schwer wieder entfernen lassen und nur ein einziges Mal zu verwenden sind, weil sie beim Entfernen normalerweise beschädigt werden.
