Er besteht aus einem Stück; die Abheftösen 2 sind durch eine 180°-Drehung verdrillt. Die Ösen können auch angelötet sein. Es ist selbstverständlich möglich, den Abheftbügel auch aus einem anderen Werkstoff zu fertigen. Der neuerungsgemäße Abheftbügel hat den Vorteil, dass diese Abheftmethode billiger ist, als etwa das Binden eines Zeitschriftenjahrganges und dass einzelne Hefte, etwa zum Fotokopieren, entnommen werden können. Um die Hefte in den Bügel einzuhängen, öffnet man sie exakt in der Mitte und schiebt sie bis zum Mittelfalz in den Bügel. Schließt man dann das Heft, kann es durch die beiden Abheftösen in jeden handelsüblichen Ordner eingehängt werden.
