Description

Production of stable potassium phosphates that produce viscous solutions It is known that water-insoluble potassium and sodium salts of metaphosphoric acid, which are called Kurrol's salts, with sodium and ammonium salts solutions result, which are characterized by high viscosity. These substances are in the Wise won that one Monokal.iumorthophosphat below the melting point some Heated for hours and allowed to cool slowly. The higher the temperature chosen becomes, the faster - according to previous observations, the transformation should proceed go and the higher should the viscosity range of the aqueous solutions: the be formed connections. It has also been found that the viscosity griev aqueous solutions of such substances, which at: higher temperatures, z. B. at 700 to 8oo °, has been obtained, drops if this is done in the presence of r ° / o Lead metaphosphate as a reaction accelerator at lower temperatures, e.g. B. at 2 & i up to 36o °, heated for some time.

It has been found that calcium metaphosphate which produces extremely viscous solutions can be used if you get monopotassium orthophosphate initially a little below this. Melting point heated by potassium metaphosphate and then for some time with underlying Temperatures heated. the products obtained in this way still stand out characterized by the fact that they have a high washing, emulsion and powder binding capacity are particularly stable against intramolecular water deposition.

Embodiment In a platinum dish, earth 100 g of potassium orthophosphate heated to Soo and maintain this temperature for 3 hours. It is then allowed to cool and the product is heated at 50 ° for -16 hours. The viscosity of the aqueous solution of this preparation in sodium hexametapliospliate solution is 2300-10-4 . «Whereas the highest viscosity content of Kurrol's salts known to date has only been measured with 734- io- @ under the same conditions.
