Description
Device for achieving good electrically conductive connections between two abutting metal parts The invention relates to a Device for achieving good electrically conductive connections between two clashing metal parts or surfaces, in particular for seamless closure of shielding parts.
It is known for the purpose of shielding against high-frequency interference waves, between abutting shielding parts is surrounded by a metal hose To lay a seal that prevents interference waves from escaping at the joints of the shielding covers prevented. For this purpose, inserts made of soft metal are also used. If these sealing parts are inserted into special grooves or the like, wherein if the same deform after the shielding parts are pressed together, they can be lost the sealing parts do not easily enter when the shielding parts are dismantled. When using insertable metal rings or the like, it has already been proposed Take special retention measures to prevent the sealing parts from falling out and their loss is avoided. These special holding devices but cannot be attached to many shielding devices, rather they can be caused such Measures considerable manufacturing costs a mostly per se already expensive interference suppression equipment, especially for those parts to be suppressed, in large numbers on one aggregate. z. B. on a vielzylindigeri: tlotor a motor vehicle or an aircraft. Besides, it is with difficulty connected or not possible at all. in some, especially thin-walled shielding parts to incorporate special retaining grooves for inserting seals.
The present invention aims to provide a means for achieving of creating good electrically conductive connections between shielding parts, the eliminates the aforementioned disadvantages.
The inventive device for achieving electrically good conductive connections is that a metal mesh surrounded by known Sealing cord has an insert, preferably made of steel wire, which resiliently resembles the entire seal Lends property, such that the seal is in the insertion point of a shielding part holds on by itself. As the known, surrounded by a metal mesh tube Sealing cords ensure safe electrical contact formation between abutting Ensure shielding parts through the increased flexibility of the metal mesh, arises when inserting a resilient insert z. B. in the form of a steel wire in the seal in addition to the: elbatic holding of the Dichturig on the inside or Outer wall of a shielding part of the advantage that this resilient insert improved honor Brings about contact formation on those surfaces. on which the seal is resilient is present. This helps to make the joints of the shielding parts electrically more perfect be sealed. The seal provided with the resilient insert runs:, t shape in an advantageous manner for variously designed shielding parts.
In the drawing, the sealing device according to the invention is shown in several exemplary embodiments illustrates, namely Fig. i shows one designed in the manner of a snap ring A top view of the seal, Fig. 2 shows a seal with an inlaid steel wire enlarged in the diagram, Fig. 3, another embodiment for a seal finitely laterally steel wire inserted by the sealing material.

In a known manner, the seal consists of one of a metal fabric hose i surrounded soul 2. which is either from a hemp. Rubber or other fiber cord is formed. As can be seen from Fig. 2, is located in the sealing core 2 a steel wire 3. The production of the seal according to the invention can be carried out in various ways Way can be done, for. 13. The material 2 is wound around the steel wire 3 be. If a rubber or similar elastic core 2 is used, the steel wire can 3 may be inserted into the soul 2. The steel wire 3. its spring force can be adapted to the respective type of seal. gives the entire seal a resilient property. with the same shaped differently or for all shielding parts, which are to be closed in this way. can be bent.
According to Fig. I, the seal provided with a steel wire 3 is designed in the manner of a snap ring. The latter is particularly suitable for insertion into a shielding cap 4 that is placed on a spark plug 5 (Fig. 5). On the shielding cap 4, an edge 6 is provided, which may have a small indentation at. In the interior of the cap -1 there is a porcelain body $ in a known manner. which is closed by a flat metal ring 9. The latter is usually soldered into the cap. The sealing snap ring according to Fig. I is pushed into the remaining edge 6 by being bent together accordingly. Since the seal, as shown in FIG. In doing so, good electrical contact is not only formed on the flat support ring 9, but also inside the edge 6 (huch the outward tensioning force of the steel wire 3. After inserting the seal, the cap 4 is pushed onto the spark plug; and secured by a clamping bracket io In a known manner on the candle, held immovably. In doing so, the seal is pressed against the edge provided on the candle, creating an electrically conductive connection between the shielding cap 4 and the spark plug the sealing ring cannot fall out of the shielding cap due to its continuously outward tensioning force. According to fig are arranged running parallel on both sides of the fabric core 2. A further suggestion is based on A bb. ¢ to design the seal oval for certain purposes, with a steel wire insert 3 running through the seal between two fabric cores 2, 2 '. FIG. 6 shows an embodiment of how a container that can be closed by a lid 12 would be electrically sealed. At the upper edge of a container 13, an angled support edge 14 is firmly inserted. The seal is placed on the latter and the cover 12, which is likewise provided with an inwardly projecting edge 12 ', is placed. The cover 12 is screwed to the container 13 in a known manner, the edge 12 'being pressed against the seal 1, 2, 3. Figure 8 shows how a seal for such a container is formed. The seal ends 15, 15 ' protrude from one another to a certain extent due to the spring force of the insert 3 located in the seal. -After placing the seal in the container edge, the same lays firmly against the inner surface of the container edge 13, so that it is held captive in the container after the cover has been removed. FIG. 7 shows an electrical seal for an opening 17 which can be closed by a cover and through which the interrupter device of an ignition machine is accessible. Here, the seal 1, 2, 3 is held in place by an edge 18 ′ provided on the machine housing 18. FIG. 9 illustrates a sealing measure in which a seal designed in the manner of an inwardly resilient ring is placed around a tube 19 serving as a shield. It can be seen that the seal holds itself firmly to the tube i9 as a result of the inwardly acting force of the insert 3. Fig. Io shows an embodiment of a seal in which a spiral spring 2o is inserted instead of a steel wire insert. This seal is mainly suitable for inserting into containers according to Fig. B. The seal intended for the shielding parts to be closed is cut and shaped so that after inserting the seal, the joints 21, 22 of the same touch intimately, so that the fine wires of the metal fabric hose interlock. In this way, the formation of gaps in the seal inserted in a shielding part is avoided, so that even very short electrical waves cannot find a passage at the joints of the seal.
