If the variable to be controlled is denoted by r and the variable to be controlled by R, then the change in the controlled variable by a constant absolute amount can be determined by / #, r and the change in the variable tim can be given a constant percentage represent. If c also denotes a constant of proportionality, then the rule requirement is given by the equation described. If continuous control is required over the entire control range, this equation is to be treated as a differential equation, and 'yields the solution In R = c (r-yo) where r. a constant of integration. The solution equation can also be written in the form R = ec (. T ,,> i. If I a. denotes the anode current, Ug. the grid voltage and U "a constant, the so-called grid bias, then the anode current and grid voltage characteristic can be calculated using equation 1a - e ts U y) (2) Equations (i) and (2) are completely analogous. This knowledge is used according to the invention to realize the desired through simple arrangements, generally without moving parts.

Die Ausführung des Widerstandes 8 bereitet wegen der linearen Stufung keine Schwierigkeiten;

Der Gleichrichter i
i verbunden ist.
Phasenenden
der Selcundärwicl<,l.ung sind mit den. Gittern: des Gleichrichters i verbunden;.
eine Cos,i:nusfunlittion dargestellter Zusammenhang.
exponentieller bzw. logarithmischer Zusammenhang.
Drehregler 6. Der Drehregler 6 verändert die Gittersteuerung des Gleichrichtiers

besteht.A: second example is shown in, Fig. 2. Here is the inventive idea
used for grid control of a large rectifier. With i is the large rectifier
referred to, which is used to drive a DC motor a. The rectifier i
is! shown in three-phase design and is powered by a three-phase network 4
a transformer 5 is fed, the grid control works in the following way:
Each grid initially receives a negative reverse voltage via the resistors 7
from the battery 8, which has its positive pole connected to the cathode of the rectifier
i is connected. The reverse voltage is used to ignite the arc in the seromaster
i to prevent until a positive ignition pulse is given to the grid.
This ignition pulse is supplied 'in front of a rotary regulator 6, the field winding of which
of the. Mains 4 is fed. The star-connected secondary winding is connected
with its zero point at the cathode of the main rectifier i. The three. Phase ends
der Selcundärwicl <, l.ung are with the. Grids: connected to the rectifier i ;.
The ignition moment is through. Turning the rotary control 6 temporally: shifted.
The rotary control 6 is rotated via a. Crank mechanism 9, the following

an, electromagnet i i, which is driven by a direct current network 12 via an export
or Mu tube 13 is energized. The grating control of the tube 13 is done in the same way
as in the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. i by means of a voltage divider

the following: If the hand lever 15 of the voltage divider 14 is adjusted, it becomes
the grid voltage of the tube 13 and thus also its anode current are regulated. Between
this anode current and: the lever display on the voltage divider 14 is therefore a

The electromagnet i i therefore pulls an Efsenkern against the tensile force of the spring
