Der auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte neue verstellbare Wagen- oder Karrensattel besteht aus den zwei Hälften α und a1, die im oberen Theil durch zwei eingelassene Scharniere b und bl beweglich verbunden sind und an den Kopfenden die Stellvorrichtungen c und c' besitzen. Jede Hälfte wird wieder durch den vorderen und hinteren hölzernen Krümmung d und d' gebildet, die oben durch die eisernen Tragbügel e und e1, sowie seitlich durch 7 bis 8 starke, hölzerne, aufgeschraubte Leisten / vereinigt werden. Die beiden Stellvorrichtungen c und c1, wovon die hintere noch den Ledergeschirrbefestigungshaken g besitzt, bestehen aus je einem starken schmiedeisernen Bügel h, der links durch die Schraube k in der im Krümmung eingelassenen und befestigten Unterlagsplatte / beweglich eingeschraubt ist, so dafs sich der Bügel um k drehen kann. Rechts enthält dieser Bügel -noch einen länglichen Ausschnitt m mittelst dessen sowie der Stellschraube ki das Verstellen und Einschrauben in die Unterlagsplatte /' bewerkstelligt wird. Der Bügel ist ferner nach rechts, zum Ausschnitt m hin, dicker, wodurch die einmal gestellten, wie festgeschraubten Sattelhälften a und a1 nicht mehr sich nach aufsen erweitern oder nachgeben können. Dieser Ausschnitt m hat eine Länge von 2 % bis 3 cm, die ein Erweitern der Sattelhälften im unteren Theil von ι bis 15 cm zuläfst, welches Mafs für Rückenbreiten der Pferde vom stärksten Schlage genügt. Da ferner noch die Leisten/ mit 5 mm Zwischenräumen an einander geschraubt sind, und die hinteren Krümmlinge anders als die vorderen geschweift sind, so vermag sich dieser Sattel auch viel besser dem Pferderücken passend, tragfähiger und gleichmäfsiger belastend wirkend, aufzulegen. Der so neu construirte Sattelunterbau ist nun durch Polsterung und Lederüberzug im übrigen wie die bis jetzt gebräuchlichen Sättel ausgearbeitet, nur werden die hier angewendeten Eisentheile mittelst Lederklappen η vor Witterungseinflüssen noch geschützt.The new adjustable wagon or cart saddle shown in the accompanying drawing consists of the two halves α and a 1 , which are movably connected in the upper part by two recessed hinges b and b l and have the adjusting devices c and c ' at the head ends. Furthermore, since the strips / are screwed to each other with 5 mm gaps, and the rear curvatures are curved differently than the front ones, this saddle can also be placed on the horse's back much better, more load-bearing and more evenly stressful. The so newly constructed saddle substructure is now finished with upholstery and leather cover, like the saddles in use up to now, only the iron parts used here are protected from the weather by means of leather flaps η.
