Electron tubes working with current distribution control In tubes with current distribution control, the electrons that come from the cathode first fly through a positively biased grid electrode and then get into an opposing field between one behind it. Electrode, which is at a lower potential than the positively biased electrode, and the positive electrode consists. The electrons that fly through the positive grid electrode in the direction of the braking electrode are deflected from their path by the positively charged grid struts, so that only some of the electrons hit the surface of the counter electrode perpendicularly. The deflection caused by the inhomogeneous course of the field lines in the vicinity of the positive lattice struts causes the electrons to move on approximately parabolic orbits. The vertices of these parabolas are closer to the braking electrode, the smaller the deflection of the electrons in the lattice plane. In Fig. R, G schematically shows the lattice plane of the positively biased electrode with the lattice struts a, b, c and d and E the counter electrode, which is at a lower potential than the lattice electrode G. The trajectories of some of the electrons passing through the mesh between the lattice struts b and c are shown. The present invention is based on the knowledge that the steepness of such a tube suffers from the fact that not all electrons impinge perpendicularly on the surface of the electrode E, but a more or less large part of it impinges in an oblique direction or is already deflected beforehand. According to the invention; this deflecting effect of the positively charged lattice struts is compensated for by arranging a constant magnetic field, the lines of force of which perpendicularly penetrate the surface of this positive lattice and fill the space between the electrode G and the electrode F_. The effect of the magnetic field does not affect the electrons that pass vertically, i.e. those that pass in the direction of the field, but those that are deflected on a parabolic path as a result of the positive charge of the lattice struts experience an additional deflection in one direction, which is perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field and perpendicular to the surface in which the parabola would lie on which the electron moves without the influence of the magnetic field. This effect of the -N magnetic field causes the electron to move on the path of a helical line in the direction perpendicular to the counter electrode, and consequently a divergence of the electron beam is avoided. This concentration of electrons increases the steepness of the electron tube and is therefore advantageous for all electron tube arrangements that work on the principle of current distribution. The counter-electrode F_ shown in the figure can be made of solid metal, but it can also be designed as a grid and serve as a control grid, so that the anode then follows behind this electrode. The principle of the invention is not limited to tubes with a small number of electrodes, but can be used with success wherever there is a distribution control where it is important to prevent electrons from moving through a positive grid to get distracted.
