Description
Device for suppressing overcurrents on the primary side of arrangements for converting alternating current of constant voltage into alternating current constant current There are arrangements are known which allow one of variable current supplied to an alternating current network at constant voltage to convert it into a constant current with a variable voltage. As a converter of this Art, for example, the so-called Boucherot circles are known. These converters are mainly used to supply power consumers with variable resistance should be fed with a constant current, then the voltage at the consumer changes according to the variable resistance at constant current. Such However, converters have properties that differ considerably from those of normal converters differ. Occurs, for example, on the secondary side of the converter, i. H. so in your network fed by it., if a short circuit occurs, it is the one emitted by the converter and thus. also the real power consumed by it is the same - * Mull. Accordingly the active current consumed by the converter also goes back to zero, i.e. H. on the On the primary side of the converter, the current is smaller in the event of a short circuit on the secondary side, or in other words, there is a short circuit on the primary side with a secondary side the idle state. Conversely, if there is an interruption on the secondary side of the converter in the load circuit, the voltage at the point of interruption must rise. However, an interruption of the load circuit means that for the converter itself Transition into voltage resonance, which is a short circuit of the one feeding the converter Network means. ' The purpose of the invention is thus to prevent overcurrents from occurring the primary side of arrangements for converting alternating current of constant voltage in alternating current of constant amperage in the event of brief overload or interruption in the network fed by the converter. According to the invention this will be achieved by the fact that on the secondary side of the - converter parallel to the constant current consumer one from a resistor and eiiieiii @ -with- him lying in series Switchgear existing 21, Tebenschluß is arranged and the switchgear at Exceeding a certain limit value of the consumer's impedance automatically closed when falling below the same or a lower limit value des Scheinwider ,, @ stand of the consumer automatically -, vied! is opened.
The success will be explained in more detail with the aid of the drawing are shown in Fig. i and -2 two embodiments in a schematic manner.
In Fig. I, i denotes the electricity supplied by an alternating current network Kon s ta: n tspa nnu ngs-Konstantstroln-UmfGriner, for example a Boucherot circle. This converter feeds the constant current consumer 2, parallel to the latter is now the protective circuit consisting of resistor 3 and the spark gap .M placed, which is de-energized in the normal operating state. The one struck by the arc The area of the spark gap d is traversed by a current from the consumer 2 Blow magnet 5 magnetically. Now increases due to an impermissible increase in resistance or an interruption in consumer 2, the voltage at the spark gap .1 via a certain value, this spark gap ignites, whereby the from the converter i Delivered current depending on the resistance relationships between the consumer 2 and your resistance 3 in whole or in part over the spark gap .l. flows. One Interruption of the current delivered by the converter i is thus due to this effect the spark gap .M impossible. If the resistance in consumer a goes up again returns an operationally permissible value, the current in consumer 2 decreases and thus also in the blowing coil 5 again. This causes the arc to start the spark gap d. is blown magnetically. His resistance increases so much until it goes out, whereby the original operating state is restored, without an impermissible overcurrent on the primary side of the converter i and from it an interruption in operation can occur.
In the device shown in Fig. I, it can happen that in the case of longer resistance increases in consumer 2 of the spark gap .I occurring light arcs take too long to be blown out and infalbeclessen Can cause damage to the spark gap.
Instead of the magnetic blowing caused by the blow magnet The spark gap can also be a pneumatic blower controlled by the same current the spark gap can be used.
It is also possible without further ado by a surge arrester, for example a resorbable conductor, or a to replace grid-controlled valve, with an additional one for power interruption Switch must be provided.
