Description
PATENTAMTPATENT OFFICE
PATENTSCHRIFTPATENT LETTERING
KLASSE 68: Schlosserei.CLASS 68: Locksmith.
Zusatz zum Patente JU 65148 vom 14. August 1891.Addition to patent JU 65148 from August 14, 1891.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 6. Januar 1893 ab. Längste Dauer: 13. August 1906.Patented in the German Empire on January 6, 1893. Longest duration: August 13, 1906.
The protruding hump c 1 · of the key bit does not directly serve to close the lock, but the internal securing of the bit c is effective. On the Nufs B, Fig. 5 and 6, the closing beard m is attached with the hinge μ and is held in the position of Fig. 5 by the spring r, Fig. 7. The Nufs B has a continuous longitudinal groove that fits exactly on the groove i l of the cathedral H. The sleeve c 11 , Fig. 9 and 10, is firmly connected to the ceiling of the castle at gg , is open at the bottom and also has a longitudinal groove at 0, which is the groove z 1 of the cathedral H. the groove η in the nut B and the beard m, which fits with its front t into the grooves, is exactly opposite. The inside of the sleeve c 11 is recessed all around at hh in such a way that the protruding hump c 1 of the beard c fits into it when the key is turned around. ■ Fig. 3 shows the lock without a key, the beard m has the position as in Fig. 5, since the spring r is not offered any resistance. Fig. 2 shows the key in the lock, with the beard m is erected. In the rest position the square hole sits% of the bottom of Nufs B on the square Theilp of the dome (Fig. 4) and is obtained by a spring in the raised position. As a result of a gentle pressure on the key A , this presses the disc-shaped bottom of the Nufs B down and as a result, the ring grooves of the dome are free and the inside of the key bit c engages in them. At the same time the protruding hump c 1 of the beard c has pushed the hinged beard m out of the groove 0 of the sleeve c u , FIG. G, this is also free and assumes the upright position in FIG. If the key is now turned, the inner parts d of the beard c take the nut B with them, and the beard m grinds around the outside of the sleeve c 11 and causes the lock to close. The bevel SS in the groove 0, FIG. 9, makes it easier for the beard m to emerge from the groove. In order to give the sleeve c u durability, there must always be a certain wall thickness between the beard c and the hinged beard m. In order to exceed this when turning the beard, the groove ό is sharply filed at point S , as a result of which the beard comfortably rises to the outside of the sleeve c 1 , thus causing the lock to close.
The device is intended to make opening with a lock pick, duplicate key or the like more difficult. The ring grooves i of the dome can be attached in different ways and thereby differently closing locks can be produced.
