welches da-durch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man Schwefelsäureester der niedrigst siedenden
Fraktion der den Kokosfettsähren und Palmkernfettsäuren entsprechenden
Al-
kohole oder Schwefelsäureester der Alkohole, die durch katalytische Hydrierung
des Vorlaufes der durch Paraffinoxydation gewonnenen Fettsäuren erhalten werden
bzw.'deren Salze, als Entfettungsmittel in wäßriger Lösting, gegebenenfalls zusammen
mit o-rganisch-en Fettlösungsmitteln, verwendet. Bei diesem Verfahren hat sich gezeigt,
daß sehr erhebliche Mengen Fett, -welches z. B. in Schaf- und 9,ch#v-einsblößen

Es ist der Zweck des vorliegen-den Verfahrens, diese volkswirt-schaftlich
wichtigen Fettmengen auf einfache Art zu gewinnen. Beim Arbeiten nach dem im Hauptpatent
beschriebenen Verfahren wird erfindungsgemäß das Hautfett -dadurch ubgeschieden,
daß man der Entfettungsflotte ein wasserlösliches, neutral reagierendes anorganisches
Salz, z. B. Kochsalz, zusetzt, und zwar entweder im Verlauf des Entfettungsvärgangs
oder nach-Beendigung der Entfettung. Wenn man die Flotte einige Stunden stehen läßt,
scheidet sich auf der Oberfläche eine ölige Fettschicht ab, die abgeschöpft wird.
Dieses Fett kann für verschiedene technische Zwecke verwendet werden; beispielsweise
kann man es zusammen mit anderen tierischen, mit pflanzlichen oder synthetischen
Fetten zur Fettung von Leder verwenden. Die nach diesem Verfahren unter Gewinnung
des Hautfettes behandelten Blößen zeigen, selbst wenn es sich um ursprünglich sehr
fetthaltige Häute und Fellsorten handelt, nach der Gerbung keinerlei
Tettausschlag.
Der Salzzusatz übt also keine nachteilige Wirkung auf den Entfettungsvorgang aus

Blößen, ohne sie abtropfen zu lassen, in ein langsam laufendes Faß. (Bei abgetropften
Blößen werden jo bis i5'/o Wasser von 35 bis 38' zugegeben.) Es wird
vorteilhaft in möglichst kurzer Flotte gearbeitet. Diese Flotte wird durch Zusatz
von iNatriumbicarbonat, Borax oder ähnlichen Alkalisalzen,auf einen pjg-Wert von
8 bis 8,5
gebracht. Hierauf werden o,2,5 110 Natriumsalz des Schwefelsäureesters
des Vorlaufs der den Kokosfettsäuren entsprechenden Alkohole (auf Fettalkohol berechnet)
in einer Verdünnung von 1 :-5 durch die hohle Achse in das Faß gegeben und während
einer Stunde bei 35 bis 38' bewegt Dann gibt man dem laufenden Faß
so viel Wasser von 300 zu,
daß die Blößen davon gerade bedeckt werden. Hierauf
erfolgt der Zusatz von Kochsalz, dessen M2nge sich nach der Blößenart richtet. Im
allgemeinen wird so verfahren, daß die Brühte etwa 6' B# spindelt. In dieser
Flotte werden die Blößen noch 15 bis :2o Minuten bewegt; anschließend bleiben sie
noch einige Stunden im ruhenden Faß. Hierauf wird das auf der Oberfläche abgeschiedene
Fett abgeschöpft und die Blößen anschließend mit Wasser von 31 bis

läßt man noch kurze Zeit laufen, bringt das Faß dann zum ZD Stillstand und schöpft
das Fett nach einigen Stunden ab. Hierauf wird gespült. Die Prozentangaben beziehen*sich
auf das Blößengewicht.: z.
