Relay interrupter with two relays In a wide range of applications
telecommunications technology, it is often necessary to avoid power surges in the same or different,
relatively long time intervals on: to give a certain line.
In general, the surges are generated by means of rotating interrupters
sent. However, the rotating interrupters have significant disadvantages
as a result of the constantly required maintenance and the risk of contamination, so
that it is desirable to work with non-rotating interrupters.
These facilities can e.g. B. be used in telephony to
Control callsigns, or, in the field of neon signs, to make the necessary
Make reversals. These devices can also be used in alarm systems
be used, for example in air raid systems, where howling sounds of different pitches
be evoked. If you use an audio frequency generator in such a case
Generation of the alarm signals, the interrupter device can use the
different frequencies corresponding frequency-determining elements of the generator
being controlled.
It is already known to achieve a delayed relay effect
rush to provide relay, its circuit as a result of the allocation of capacitors
and inductances to the relay are cycled, opened and closed. To at
such a relay interrupter circuit generally covers a larger period of time
To create between switchings, expensive inductors are required.
The use of such inductors brings with it the difficulty that one
with regard to the switching times of the saturation properties of the inductances
is dependent. The desired response times cannot therefore be set precisely.
The entire switching process is also not readily accessible to the calculation.
There are also relay breakers known in which the pick-up time
and the release time of a relay is set by means of a variable capacitor
is associated with a glow discharge tube; in whose circle the relevant
Relay is switched.
The disadvantages of the known relay breaker circuits
will
avoided according to the invention in that a relay breaker with two relays,
which are excited by the discharge of a capacitor assigned to each relay,
is used, which is characterized in that the relay assigned to the one
Capacitor in parallel via contacts controlled by the other relay in their rest position
to the relay assigned to it and by the result of the over the normally closed contacts
ongoing discharge of the associated capacitor, the other will respond
Relay is switched to the charging current source. This arrangement has the advantage
that the whole relay breaker is constructed symmetrically. He works with a few
Switching elements whose constants are easily accessible for the calculation,
so that the desired setting times can be determined very precisely beforehand.
Another advantage is that the battery is not connected to the relay windings
will. The contacts do not receive a continuous current, which is beneficial in that
than the risk of burns occurring is practically eliminated. The relays
".are only excited by the charging current of the capacitors.
Dementsprechend
Der Arbeitskontakt i,
The mode of operation of the circuit is to be explained in more detail using the illustration
will. The capacitor 3 is assigned to the relay i. The associated changeover contacts
are the contacts ia and iU. The normally open contact is labeled ic. Accordingly
the capacitor 4 is assigned to the relay 2, its changeover contacts with 2a and
2b and its working contact are named 2c. The charging current source for the capacitors
is denoted by E. The relays each provided with a break contact ia or 2a
i and 2 are switched so that in the rest position parallel to the winding of the
Relay i via the normally closed contact 2- of the relay z, the capacitor 3 lies while in parallel
for winding the relay z via the normally closed contact ia the capacitor 4 is located. Well be
assumed that the capacitor 3 of the relay i is charged and he is on the
Changeover contact aa of relay 2 discharges via the winding of relay i. Through this
Discharge current of the capacitor 3, the winding of the relay i is energized, whereby the
Contacts of this relay are actuated, namely the normally closed contact i- is opened,
and the working contacts i L 'and i c are closed. This becomes the capacitor
4 of the relay 2 separated from the relay winding (the contact ia is open) and
connected to the DC voltage source E via contact i b. The working contact i,
closes the circuit to be controlled, e.g. B. a ring of callsigns. The condenser
4. Charges itself - that is, at this moment. As soon as the =: capacitor 3 itself
has discharged through the relay i, the magnetic field disappears in this. Through this
the relay contacts ib and ic are opened again and the normally closed contact is opened again
closed. The capacitor 4. of the relay 2 is now discharged via the normally closed contact
i- of the relay i so that. the winding of the relay 2 flows through the discharge current
will. The contacts 21, and are closed, while the normally closed contact 2.1 is opened
will. As a result, the capacitor 3 is applied to the charging voltage E, so that it is
can recharge. After the capacitor 4. of the relay is discharged, begins
the switching cycle all over again. The dimensioning of the capacitors and he relay windings
allows you to set the required switchover time. Switching times can be set
of 2 seconds and more without difficulty. The capacitors used
in this case are in the order of magnitude of about 1,000 uF (electrolytic capacitors).
Since the contacts ia and 2a are closed in the idle state, so both
Capacitors 3 and 4 are discharged, care must be taken to start them
of the relay interrupter one of the capacitors is connected to the voltage source
.can be. This can be z. B. achieve that one of the relays mechanically
. is pressed or that one of the capacitors is pressed briefly using a soft key
is switched to the voltage source. By briefly switching off the voltage source
the relay interrupter is shut down.
