Device for removing solid contaminants from liquid lubricants
with the aid of magnetic force fields The subject of the patent is a device
for removing solid contaminants from liquid lubricants with the help of
magnetic force fields. The device is characterized in that the magnets
within a circumferential housing that has centripetal inlet and outlet openings,
are firmly arranged. The present invention now relates to a particularly useful one
further embodiment of this device. It consists in that on the inner surface
and within a circumferential housing the magnets are annular or similar
Way arranged around the centripetal inlet and outlet openings and outwards from
Deposition chambers are enclosed. The inflow to these deposition chambers that
may optionally have the form of annular spaces is arranged so that the
Lubricants to be cleaned must necessarily flow through the magnetic force fields
must by placing the openings to these annulus spaces between, above or below the
magnets are arranged in a ring. For this purpose it is advantageous to
to install special guide disks in the centrifugal chamber, through which each centrifugal chamber
is divided into two parts and the lubricant necessarily in the force fields of the
Magnets must be thrown. These guide disks can also be used at the same time
Form the top cover of the paddle wheels, which increases the centrifugal force
can be arranged in the centrifugal chamber.
zentripetal erfolgt.A particularly expedient embodiment is that these guide disks
complete with the ring-shaped magnets, while the inlet and outlet openings
to the deposition rooms are located below or above the magnets.
That
Lubricant then hits the pole faces of the ring-shaped magnets,
is deflected downwards, flows below the 'magnets into the deposition rooms
and from there above the magnets in the upper part of the through the guide disks
split centrifugal chamber. The 'magnets' - earth of the thing to be cleaned
Lubricant flowed around it, so to speak. The lubricants can therefore be in the upper
The centrifugal chamber can only be reached by flowing around the ring-shaped magnets.
Of course, the walls or guide disks of the individual centrifugal chambers can also be used
be provided with vertically arranged rod or other magnets. so that already
this creates magnetic force fields through which a large part of the magnetic
Impurities is retained. The non-magnetic ones then become in the deposition rooms
Parts held back. Several centrifugal chambers of various types can be
or be arranged one above the other, the mutual inflow expediently
occurs centripetally.
The device can be used to increase the delivery rate and the oil pressure
also with upstream or downstream oil pumps, such as gear pumps, centrifugal pumps,
Piston pump and the like are connected, in which case the connection
is also provided centripetal with the oil pump. When using permanent magnets
it is useful to maintain the magnetism, the ring-shaped arranged magnets
to connect on the outer diameter with an iron core, so that this always a
constant closed power flow is available.
in horizontaler Ansicht zeigt.
In besonderen
In diesem Falle
An embodiment of such a rotary filter is shown in FIGS. R to 3, FIG. E showing the device in a vertical view and FIG. 3 showing the same in a horizontal view. Sections is an enlarged section of the arrangement of the paddle wheels connected to the rotating housing. Of course, this device can be designed in the most varied of ways, so that the embodiment shown is only an example. Figures e and 3 The encircling housing a, which in the illustrated embodiment is directly connected to the drive of a gear pump, has centripetal openings b through which the liquid lubricant to be cleaned gets into the interior of the rotary filter. Through the finite blades h connected to the housing a, the lubricant is released into the magnetic force fields of the ring-shaped or similarly arranged magnets g + f and through the fine openings o, which are located between the magnets, into the outer, annular deposition chambers c + d hurled. The impurities are now held on the magnets g + f or in the chambers c + d . The partially cleaned lubricant then flows through the centripetally arranged drainage openings into the next centrifugal chamber, with further cleaning taking place. In the example shown, the lubricant is fed to a gear pump g or sucked off by the same through the openings n, which are likewise arranged centripetally, and conveyed further while imparting the desired pressure. When using the device without a downstream pump, it is advisable, contrary to the drawing, to keep the outer diameter of the lowermost inlet openings b smaller than the outer diameter of the upper outlet openings n. In this way, the lubricant is pumped strongly. Furthermore, it is advantageous to surround the rotating device with an outer, fixed casing so that the lubricant is not thrown off the side walls of the device and the flow to the openings b is prevented as a result. This outer, fixed, ie non-rotating, shell is not shown. Figure 2 In Figure 2, the passage of the lubricant circuit in a centrifugal chamber is shown particularly empty. Through the centripetal opening and the impeller with guide disk I_2 connected to the housing, the lubricant is thrown into the magnetic force fields and continues to get into the outer deposition chambers and from there back above the guide disk of the impeller to the further centripetal opening m above it, through which the lubricant is fed to the next centrifugal chamber. As can be seen from Fig. N, the paddle wheels are connected to the rotating housing a and, in the example shown, extend into the force fields of the magnets. In special cases, the guide disk can also terminate directly with the ring-shaped magnets, so that the centrifugal space between the inflow openings and the ring-shaped magnets is divided into two parts. In this case it is advisable to feed the lubricant below the magnets g -1- h through appropriately arranged slots or openings to the outer deposition chambers, from where it can then reach the upper part of the centrifugal chamber above the magnets g + lt.
The magnetic flux is in the example shown for the
annularly arranged magnets by the iron ring p and for the vertically arranged
Magnets reached through the iron ring k. For the device, as shown,
several centrifugal chambers, which are separated by partitions e, can be provided.
Corresponding blades or can be used to introduce the lubricant more quickly
helically arranged wings b are attached. 'The use of a subordinate
Centrifugal pump has the advantage of a particularly simple design, since it is known that the
Central drive of the pumped liquid in centrifugal pumps, i.e. all around the hub
of the impeller takes place, so that the centripetal outlet opening of the rotating
Housing can coincide with the inlet opening of the centrifugal pump.
