Description
Method for blacking out the soundtrack in the non-sound-modulated areas The invention relates to a method for blackening the soundtrack on the not sound-modulated places when rewriting optical sound recordings in those in Sprout script with mean blackening changed according to the volume.
It is known to make sound recordings in sprout script with diminished Create basic noise from existing ordinary sound recordings by rewriting, those parts of the soundtrack that are not recorded additionally blackened or the middle working point depending on the volume is relocated. Care must be taken that the change in the mean Blackening does not take place in leaps and bounds, so that no interfering sound occurs during playback. The beginning and end of the enlarged blackening must therefore gradually move into the subsequent ones Skip the blackening values. In the event that the mean density depends on is shifted by the volume, the blackening would be at the primordial modulated areas only correspond to the blackening of the greatest modulation. This blackening but in no way comes to the maximum attainable blackening of the emulsion in question the same, since the modulation or the change in the blackening within the straight line Part of the blackening characteristic must lie. If the blackening is not perfect but a small part of the scanning light is still allowed to pass through the sound track, so that in these places too, due to the unavoidable irregularity of the blackened layer @ the background noise can arise.
The aim of the invention is to reduce this background noise, which is precisely the case with the record-free Set the audio track, i.e. if there is no audio playback at all, especially annoying is to avoid. According to the invention, this is done in that .the brightness of the recording light is increased beyond the maximum level, so that the newly manufactured carrier the highest possible in the non-tone-modulated areas Blackening is retained as it has already been brought about by other processes. This increase in the recording light can e.g. B. by overdriving the lamp or the light control organ can be achieved.
