Ceramic furnace The invention relates to a ceramic furnace,
in particular a ring furnace, in which the fuel is introduced by means of bulk material.
In the known kilns of this type, the fuel is poured in
.through the so-called heating holes in the furnace roof. Apart from the fact that the fuel for this purpose
must always be carried up to the furnace, is the fuel distribution in the furnace
unfavorable. From the ceiling, wedge-shaped parts and heating shafts remain between
the heating holes free of fuel. The consequence of the inevitable poor fuel distribution
is a partially inadequately fired product, often also the occurrence of melt firing.
To remedy these evils. is the ceramic according to the invention
Furnace provided in the side wall with closable channels through which
the fuel means, pipes are introduced into the furnace and cover the full width of the
Oven insert is poured. The fuel is advantageously introduced by means of
Pipes, which are slotted lengthways, as used for the introduction of fuel in grate firing
are known per se.

ten Stellen.
Die Brennstoffeinführung kann einseitig
oder, wie aus Fig.3 ersichtlich, auch beid-
seitig in den Brennraum erfolgen. Bei elfen
mit parallel laufenden Brennräumen kann
die Brennstoffeinführung auch ausschließlich
von der Mitte der Ofenanlage her erfolgen,
wie es die Fig.. q. erkennen läßt. In einem
solchen Fall wird der Rauchkanal i g ent-
sprechend tief gelegt.
Der Bremistoffeinführungskanal3 dient
gleichzeitig als Schauloch, welches gestattet,
den Brennvorgang über die ganze Ofenbreite
hin zu beobachten. Es können auch unter-

ein oder mehrere Beobachtungskanäle 17 vor-
gesehen sein. Diese können :die Form zweck-
mäßig sich nach innen erweiternder Schlitz-

zweckmäßig mit selbsttätigen Verschlüssen
ausgestattet.
Wie die Fig. ¢ zeigt, ist zweckmäßig die
Trocknerei mit geringem Abstand unmittelbar
über dem Ofen angeordnet. plan arbeitet
gleichlaufend im Trocknerei- und Ofen-
betrieb.

In this way, the overall height is kept low and compressed to the extreme,
so that heat losses e are limited to the lowest possible level. To the widest extent

is made easier by avoiding the annoyance of heat and darkness: ichte, rt.
The burning operation is better regulated by a perfect guarantee for the necessary
