Abstract

The system provides the boiler with a burner (1) and a heated body (2). Above this is a canopy (3) leading into a conduit (4) for removal of fumes with deflectors (5) guiding the gas flow. A single temp. sensor (7) is placed in the flow of exhaust prods. to measure both the absolute temp. (T) and the variation of temp. w.r.t. time (dT/dt). The sensor is able to measure temp. variations of the order of 0.1 to 0.5 deg. per second. This is then used in conjunction with measurement of the current flowing through a control electrovalve in order to provide control of the power provided by the boiler.
