Arrangement for influencing an electric current accordingly

The invention is explained below with the aid of an embodiment,
which is shown schematically in the figure.
Ablenkplatten 17 keine: Spannung auftritt. In the figure, io denotes a phosphor layer which is arranged between a plate electrode ii and a mesh electrode 12 as the dielectric of a capacitor. This capacitor is located in one branch of a Brüd eilschaltuhg, the other branches of which contain the adjustable capacitor 13 or the fixed capacitors 1q., 15 :. The right and left corner points of the bridge are fed by a constant alternating voltage 16. At the upper and lower corner of the bridge are the two deflection plates 17 of a cathode ray tube 18, which is only represented by its glass vessel, i 9- and its cathode 2o. A perforated diaphragm 2i is located inside the tube 18. through which the IZ'-athode ray falls through # -f. as long as the bridge is balanced, d. h `-; long no: voltage occurs between the baffles 17.
16
This device operates in such a way that, by appropriately adjusting the capacitor 13, the bridge is removed for any given exposure of the phosphor. io, for example at zero exposure, is adjusted. Under these circumstances, the cathode ray falls through the pinhole zi. If, however, light strikes the phosphor layer through the reticulated electrode 12, the equilibrium of the bridge is disturbed, and an alternating voltage thus occurs between its upper and lower corner points; which deflects the cathode ray. This thus moves over the perforated diaphragm 2 i at the frequency of the alternating current source 1 6 and with an amplitude that depends on the size of the disturbance in the bridge equilibrium. The current @ passing through the perforated diaphragm 2i therefore changes to a very great extent with the output spam of the bridge; ie so with the exposure of the phosphor layer io. The described transversal control of a cathode ray brings about the present case, in which 'xi @ ri' can always be relatively small deflection fields, -as already indicated above, among other things with the advantage that behind the perforated diaphragm 2 Reinforcing devices based on secondary emissions can easily be accommodated. One can therefore take relatively high currents from the tube 18, which can either be fed directly to the relevant consumer or be further amplified.
