Description
Circuit arrangement for telecommunication and television equipment, to which a display tube is applied The recently developed tuning display tubes can be switched into the receiver for two purposes. Once you can .sowohl its display part as well as the amplifier part present in it only use for display. With the other type of circuit, .die Display is effected only by the display part, while the amplifier part is for amplification purposes is used.
The second type of circuit results in the known arrangements the disadvantage that the display of weaker stations is very unsatisfactory. the The voting indicator tube lights up: either not at all or only weakly that a vote after the tube is impossible.
This inadequate work is due to the fact that in the well-known Estimates the control voltage that is fed to the display control grid Receipt weaker. The transmitter is too small to control the light spot so far that that a perfect vote according to the same is possible. If you want to achieve that. also weak transmitters influence the tuning indicator tube sufficiently and that the same can then be perfectly matched, so it results for the course the control voltage, on the display control grid as a function of the high frequency amplitude the requirement that at small high frequency amplitudes with an increase in the same Control voltage as steep as possible, aV increases. With a further increase in the high frequency amplitude the control voltage should then if possible: only increase slightly to avoid overdriving of the display control grid. The control voltage supplied to the display control grid must therefore depend on the high frequency amplitude The progress as shown in Fig. i.
According to the invention, this curve profile is achieved in a circuit grounding, which is shown in principle in FIG. D, a @ in: i is the display tube that contains the cathode `` 1 @, the display control grid GA, the fluorescent screen Sch and the amplifier part with the grid GT, _ and the anode A7-, -.
According to Fig. 2, the cathode I (of the display tube) is brought on positive voltage that the cathode currents of the regulated tubes z and 3 at the resistor R i connected to the cathode lead of the display tube: a Can generate voltage drop. Uxn the display part towards the correct resting point bring, the display control grid must also receive a positive voltage, which one can produce at will.
The mode of operation of the circuit is as follows: When the device is idle, i.e. without an incident transmitter, the display control grid GA has a sufficiently negative voltage against cathode K so that no electrons can fly to the fluorescent screen and the screen is dark. When a transmitter is received, the cathode currents of the regulated tubes decrease and the voltage drop they generate across R1 decreases. The cathode I (becomes less positive, and thus the negative voltage between the display point GA and the cathode K decreases. Electrons can now get from the cathode to the fluorescent screen and stimulate it to light up. As the cathode currents of the regulated Tubes drop very considerably as a function of the increasing high frequency amplitude with the onset of regulation, the circuit arrangement described fulfills the initially stated requirement of a rapid increase in the control voltage on the display control grid GA with an increase in the high frequency amplitude in the range of small values of the same.
The effect can be increased by tapping the positive voltage for the display control grid @ erGA of the display tube from a voltage divider for the screen grid, voltage of one or more regulated tubes, which happens in Fig. 2 between the resistors R3 and R4. When regulation starts, the screen grid increases in tension on the regulated tubes and with it the voltage on the display control grid GA. The change in voltage between the display control grid GA and the cathode (occurs in the case of: incoming high frequencies in the same sense as the control by changing the voltage drop across R1, caused by the cathode currents of the regulated tubes.
The interaction of these two different types of generation the control voltage for the display control grid of the display tube gives a extremely cheap working of the ad. Even with a small high frequency amplitude, : which is fed to the receiver, the display tube is already speaking vigorously on, and, even very weak stations can be tuned perfectly to the same. In this circuit arrangement, even with the weakest transmitters: the mute tuning It is advantageous to carry out 75, as the display tube also reacts strongly to the weak signals appeals enough.
An additional control of the amplifier part contained in the display tube is not required for display purposes, but rather it is used for reinforcement purposes freely available. The one in Fig. A in the cathode line: the display tube Resistor R2 is used to generate the 85 grid bias for the amplifier section.
