Description
The invention relates to a method for producing openings in the wall of Hollow glass bodies in which a part of the body is made malleable by heating and is opened by suction from the outside. It is known to be used at the bottom of a Processing to sheet glass specific glass roller by means of a mouthpiece a spigot sucking out, which opens during the subsequent heating in the oven. It is also known to the heated outer wall of a double-walled glass vessel through Sucking from the outside ai to form a pump tube. It is eventually known as provided that a part of a glass wall to be opened later is prepared by means of a stamp or to smooth the edge of the hole afterwards.
According to the invention a method for producing openings in the wall of Hollow glass bodies in which a part of the body is made malleable by heating and is opened by suction from the outside, carried out in such a way that one at the same time The hollow punch used to shape the glass is brought up to the point to be opened and the glass is sucked into the interior of the hollow punch. Will be expedient through the hollow punch a recess of a certain shape, for. B. in the shape of a truncated cone, generated in the glass wall and on the basis of which the opening is made.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren hat den Vorteil, daß das Innere des Glashohlkörpers frei von Scherben bleibt, daß die Umgebung der Öffnung mittels der Saugdüse selbst ge-The inventive method has the advantage that the interior of the hollow glass body remains free of broken pieces, so that the area around the opening is
The procedure is best on one performed turntable known per se, which receives a plurality of hollow glass bodies and gradually brings it to the processing devices. In the drawing, which represents one embodiment of the invention, io means a part of Turntable top that runs along its perimeter has a number of openings 13 which receive the neck 14 of the glass bulbs 12. The piston part adjoining the neck 14 lies on the correspondingly shaped one upper edge 15 of opening 13 and is in a pipe socket 16 out.
In the first two working positions which the glass bulb reaches on the turntable becomes the side of the glass bulb 12 with the aid of burners, the flames of which have access through an opening 18 'in the pipe socket 16 to the flask wall, heated (Fig. 1). This softens the glass of the piston 12, and In the next working position (see Fig. 2) a tubular punch 19 'is in the soft part of the glass wall and gives it a certain shape. The end of the punch 19 is pointed so that a funnel-shaped indentation 20 in the wall of the piston 12 is generated, the bottom surface of which is flat. This soil is sucked in by digging into the channel 21 that connects the Stamp 19 passes through its entire length and which is connected to a vacuum pump by a hose, a negative pressure generated. The glass wall of the piston 12 is drawn out into a bubble by the vacuum, and since it is cooled by the punch 19, it collapses and becomes through the Stamp sucked out. Then the punch 19 is pulled out and the piston 12 brought to the next working position (Fig. 3). There is a second punch 23 in'die indentation of the piston 12 with such Kraft introduced that the rest of the glass bubble broken away and a clean and smooth one Hole is created. The stamps 19 and 23 are to be thought of as being attached to a slide with which they are brought to the glass bulb and be removed from it again. In the same way, at the apex of the piston 12 another opening can be made.
The glass bulb shown in the figures is suitable for steam generators that contain an electrically heated radiator similar to an incandescent lamp.
