Hohlring bildet.Molding core for producing ring-shaped, closed hollow rubber bodies The invention relates to a molding core for producing ring-shaped, closed hollow rubber bodies, in particular attachment rings on telephone shells, and consists essentially in that. An annular core is used, which defines the cavity of the rubber hollow body, and which is connected by a thin disk to the other core parts which hold the core in the lower part of the mold, the disk being arranged approximately at the level of the flattened end face of the annular core. The mold core is preferably combined with a second disc-shaped core of greater thickness, expediently central to it and to the mold, in such a way that the central position of the two core parts is defined by corresponding projections and recesses. The invention makes it possible to create a thin, annular hollow ring, the walls of which have exactly the same wall thickness everywhere, without the hollow ring being distorted in an unacceptable manner after it has been closed. So it is possible, for. To create as a Aufsetzring for telephone shells, which is evenly soft pliable at all points and forms a closed hollow ring.
It is already known in the manufacture of rubber bottles, one
To provide the edge of the hot water bottle with a slot to which the flange flaps connect,
which are subsequently closed and through which the core is pulled out to the side
can be. This is possible here because, seen in cross section, there are only two walls
available. In the present case, however, it is about the production of a.
Hollow ring, in which, seen in cross section, four walls are provided. Through this,
that the slot, on the whole inner or outer circumference of the ring. intended
is, the core can be bent in the axial direction to the ring
remove the hollow rubber ring without further ado.
Thin connecting sheets are par excellence in cores for forming
Chewable hollow bodies are also known per se.

in Ansicht. In the drawing, the invention is illustrated, for example,
namely, picture i shows one used to produce a support ring for headphones

in view.
und ist durch eine dünne Verbindungsscheibe c" mit dem dickerwandigen scheibeg;
in üblicher Weise entfernt. The vulcanizing mold shown in picture i consists of the lower part a, the upper part b and the two core parts e and d. The four parts mentioned represent a revolving body, and the core parts c and d are held relative to one another and to the outer parts a and b by central bores and pins. The actual core c 'of the core part c consists of a relatively thick ring and is connected by a thin connecting disk c "to the thick-walled disk-shaped center piece of the core part cve. The core part d consists of a relatively thick disk that is only i" 7 ger Near the outer circumference has a bulge-shaped elevation, -, 1 '. The space left free by the cores and the molded parts a and b is completely filled in the usual way by the rubber mixture previously filled into the mold when the mold is put together, the excess rubber compound being able to enter the annular channel f provided in the usual way. After vulcanization, which has taken place in a known manner under heat and pressure, the upper part b is first removed, and then the core parts d, c with the rubber body filling the space e are pulled out of the lower part a. Now the rubber, # vandteile g and h, the cores c 'and d' are detached from the rubber part one after the other by folding up and pulling away. Finally, the wall part h is folded back and the inwardly directed flange i formed on its inner edge is firmly connected to the central wall k by gluing and vulcanizing between two corresponding punches. Any rubber compound which has entered the joints between the molded parts or the core parts and which forms thin skins after vulcanization is removed in the usual way.
As can be seen from Figure 2, the finished rubber body encloses
e 'a closed cavity L and its annen-shaped open towards the middle
Room m ,. The wall forming the space m, including the transverse wall k, is important
stronger than the rubber wall forming the space L.
Scheibe- bestehen. In a wall of the room L there are one or more small openings
provided so that the air can escape from the hollow ring when it is applied to the ear
can and the elastic compliant termination only through the elasticity of the thin
Rubber walls is effected. The space is in use by the edge of the
Headphones, over which the strong rubber wall is rolled over
the wall k rests flat against the inner surface of the earpiece. -. ,Instead of
to provide the connecting seam to be closed at a later date inside the ring,
this seam can of course also be attached at any other point.
Above all, however, the provision of this seam on the outer circumference of the ring comes in
Consideration, in turn advantageously the base of the annular space from stronger
Rubber is made, and the seam at the transition point from thicker to thinner
Rubber is arranged. The external arrangement of the seam is however in some cases
annoying, as it can hinder, for example, the placing of the handset on the cradle,
when there is very little space between the two. -The supporting part
for the core of the closed hollow body must of course the arrangement of the seam
be designed accordingly and kept in shape. For example, he can
when arranging the seam on the outer circumference of the Aufsetzringes from a narrow, about
the core part protruding outwards and stored directly in the lower part of the mold
Disk consist.
