aus Hartmetallen Es wurde gefunden, daß zum Schmelzen von Hartmetallen, insbesondere
von solchen, die als Hauptbestandteil Wölframcarbid oder Molybdäncarbid enthalten,
Tiegel aus Zirkoncarbid geeignet sind. Nachstehend wird beschrieben, in welcher
Weise sich die Verwendung derartiger Tiegel in der Praxis besonders zweckmäßig gestalten

bzw. zu entfernen, sondern das Zirkoncarbid dient zugleich als Bandage für den beispielsweise

Eine ändere Arbeitsweise besteht darin, daß man einen Graphittiegel

des Werkstückes in. folgender Weise stattfinden: Man stellt in einen zylinderförmigen
Graphittiegel zunächst eine zylinderförmige Schablone, die beispielsweise aus .
Papier besteht. In den Zwischenraum zwischen der Innenwand des Gräphittiegels und
diesem Papierzylinder sowie auf den Boden des Graphittiegels füllt man Zirkoncarbid.
In das Innere des Papierzylinders bringt ran Wolfrämcarbid. Der Papierzylinder kann
dann entweder herausgezogen oder beim Hochhezen verkohlt wer-'den. Man kann den
gesamten Inhalt des Graphittiegels unter Druck setzen und durch Erhitzung des Tiegels
und seines Inhalts, beispielsweise auf induktivem Wege, das Zirkoncarbid unter Druck
sintern. Nach erfolgter Sintexung hebt man den Überdruck auf und steigert ,die Temperatur
weiter bis zum
Schmelzen des Wolframcarbids. .Anstatt den Graphitfiegel.
-von. vornherein mit Zirkoncarbid aüszukleiden, kann man im. Innern des Graphittiegels
auch= ein Gemisch aus Zirkon ö Oxyd und Kohlenstoff vorsehen, daß sich ybif Erhitzen

unter Freiwerden von Kohlen-Oxyd umsetzt. Das geschmolzene Wolframcarbid kann dann
