Description
Refractory ramming layer for lining furnace for firing of cement and the like. For the durability of the refractory lining of furnaces for Burning cement and the like, e.g. B. rotary kilns, it is essential that when Put the furnace into operation on the refractory furnace lining as soon as possible a protective layer from the goods to be treated, e.g. B. in rotary kilns for burning cement from cement, which then protects the oven lining from mechanical and chemical attack.
Such protective layers are likely to form after long periods of operation by themselves or their formation is a priori by burning up at startup of the furnace sought to promote melting or sintering substances. In general but the formation of such protective layers is delayed to such an extent that from the beginning the commissioning of occurring destructive influences of the to be treated Good things have already severely attacked the furnace lining before the necessary Protective layer was in place: Attempts have therefore been made to create the fireproof lining such ovens entirely by stamping with the goods to be treated, -z. B. a Mixture of cement and cement clinker. However, this resulted in the Disadvantage that when the furnace was heated up, the ramming mass became crumbly and partially solved. Through the resulting gaps or - also - through melting away of the protective layer in the event of local overheating, for example if the furnace comes to a standstill unexpectedly,, vurde then the metal jacket, which is no longer protected by a lining, is damaged. It has also been suggested that a pulverized coal furnace should be used to protect the walls against the attacks the slag by deliberate attachment of the slag and the formation of one more or less strong layer to protect. The formation of this layer was on the one hand through strong cooling of the wall surface (metal blocks attached to cooling pipes), on the other hand due to the cassette-like design of the wall parts with to be open after firing Cassettes favors. This wall formation should be on the combustion side the wall has a protective layer of slag, roughly equivalent to the depth of the cassette Strength, form: It had to achieve the necessary for effective protection Layer thickness the furnace can be fully operated for a longer period of time, during which Time the wall surfaces were more or less exposed to the attacks of the furnace.
But since a protective layer is only valuable if it is made of commissioning of the furnace is effective and also during furnace operation fully withstands mechanical and chemical attacks on the item to be treated, agents are used according to the invention; when applying a refractory tamped layer to the Lining the furnace, forming a protective layer for this Facilitate lining and ensure its durability. This is achieved by that the cassette-like wells known per se in the with the to be treated Well-touching surface of the ramming sends with fragments of refractory Fabric can be filled in finite or .without binding agents, with the larger fragments in some cases the surface of the Tiber protrudes. This is a particularly good hold for the protective layer is formed. The filling of the wells can also be done with the property to be treated itself, e.g. B. with a mixture of cement and clinker. As far as high temperatures are to be expected in the oven or in special places in the oven fragments of refractory material are advantageously used instead of clinker use.
If rammed layers are carried out with a relatively flat surface, so it is recommended for better adhesion of the protective layer or the intended one Fragments, the rough surface facing the inside of the furnace with a thin layer of glaze to be provided, this measure being provided in the same way for a tamped layer Depressions and elevations is appropriate. This glaze layer, which in itself already hot furnaces with smooth finishing is known to affect the invention Tamped layers due to their binding or adhesive power at higher temperatures particularly advantageous. The glaze expediently consists of that to be treated Good and refractory aggregates, -which both parts are advantageous in a fine grind, if necessary with small additions of flux, such as Feldpat and the like, come into use.
It has proven to be particularly useful when using a tamped layer from the material to be treated in the furnace and refractory fragments it has been shown that im Layer cross-section the amount of material to be treated in relation to the amount of the refractory fragments increases towards the inner surface of the furnace. It is immaterial whether under the tamped layer of goods to be treated and refractory fragments an actual refractory St <-: mpfstoff is present or whether under the invention Tamped layer only a layer of refractory fragments is present.
The invention applies above all to the lining of rotary kilns for cement production. However, such rotary kilns can also be used in a corresponding manner be lined in the manner according to the invention, in which the attachment of a Protective layer on the actual furnace lining is desired, e.g. B. rotary kilns for (read roasting and sintering of ores, such as furnace and heating equipment. In the case of furnaces lined in this way, strong vibrations must last for such a long time be avoided until the tamped layer is under the influence of the prevailing in the furnace is sufficiently solidified at high temperatures.
The tamped layers according to the invention are mainly used for new linings of ovens of the type described in question, but they can also be used when already in operation existing ovens with smooth oven lining can still be used.
The selection of the refractory materials to be used is directed according to (lein the respective intended use or those occurring during operation of the furnace Stresses, for example, clay or silica containing ramming-wet as well as special masses of all kinds are used. In all cases, the ordinary Fireproof material but also completely or partially through insulating fireproof Light materials are replaced, which z. B. by a certain content of burnout materials or porous fillers in the ramming masses is achieved.
