Heizwiderstand steht. The invention relates to a ther
mix overcurrent circuit breakers with 'one
by 'a hot wire through which current flows
mechanically pretensioned bimetallic strips that actuate the release pawl of the switch.
The essence of the invention is that above the lower part of the bimetallic strip
lying point of application of the hot wire the free bimetal end under the influence
an indirect additional heating through an electrically parallel to the hot wire
Heating resistance.
It has already become known 'an additional heating
for a bimetal strip flowing through the stream in series with this bimetal strip
to arrange. Here it is, but only about so-called thermostats, but not
to about power switch. In addition, here ■ the bimetal strip does not come through at all
affects the hot wire mechanically. The known designs, in which 'a current-carrying
Hot wire mechanically pretensions the bimetal strip that causes the release,
have the disadvantage that the tripping characteristics required for self-contained installation switches
'so that cannot be controlled. In addition, at large nominal currents
also 'the lines of the system have relatively large cross-sections,
which is why 'the protective devices' must necessarily have a high short-circuit strength.
In this case it is necessary, however, that with the narrow space available, 'and
the resulting small mechanisms of 'too strong a dimensioning of the
Hot wire must be avoided.
zu entlasten 'und den Parallelleiter für die kurze Zeit des Abschaltens zu überlasten,;
By 'the current division according to the invention, it is possible to use the hot wire, the
serves as a control wire for the bimetal, essential,
to relieve 'and to overload the parallel conductor for the short time of disconnection;
which, on the other hand, must not be the case with the hot wire). There is also the fact that the
Apparatus has the smallest possible wattage according to their spatial dimensions
and it is therefore not possible to generate large currents with the simple hot wire
to dominate.
By the arrangement according to the invention, in which the free bimetallic end under the
indirect influence of the additional heating of the heating resistor lying parallel to the hot wire
is the Ausljöjsecharaktenilstik: to be improved significantly.
unmittelbar bewirkt. In the drawing, the arrangement according to the invention in Fig. 1 'and 2 is illustrated schematically. It means α a hot wire placed in a circle or loop around an insulating body g , which mechanically releases a pretensioned bimetal strip b causing the triggering of the self-switch by its stretching. A heating resistor c is connected in parallel with this normal hot wire, α causing the triggering, and is arranged in such a way that it influences the free end of the bimetallic strip b . So that the hot wire λ does not come into contact with the bimetallic strip b , an insulating piece is interposed, h is the trip, release button, of the automatic switch, on which the bimetallic strip acts. With fwidd the power supply and the power dissipation is indicated. The arrangement of the hot wire and the heating resistor connected in parallel can also take place in a different way than in the one shown. This arises in all cases according to the constructive structure of the switch in question, whereby it is only necessary to note that the heating resistor is positioned in relation to the bimetal strip in such a way that the heat emanating from it directly influences the bimetal.
