Die Erfindung· betrifft Brennkraftmaschinen, insbesondere Dieselmotoren, zum Antrieb von Grubenlokomotiven und bildet eine Verbesserung· der im Patent 573 321 geschützten Einrichtung. Nach dem Hauptpatent soll bei laufender Maschine das Ausbleiben des in die Auspuffleitung eingespritzten Wassers verhindert und damit die Gefahr einer Grubengasexplosion durch ausgeschleuderte Funken oder zu hohe .Temperatur der Abgase beseitigt werden. Erfindungsgemäß wird zu diesem Zweck ein von der Temperatür beeinflußtes Organ in der Auspuffleitung vorgesehen, das bei Überschreitung einer bestimmten Höchsttemperatur der Abgase die Brennstoffzufuhr zur Maschine absperrt. Hierzu kann ein Pfropfen aus einer leicht schmelzbaren Legierung dienen, der bei der bestimmten Temperatur in der Auspuffleitung schmilzt und dadurch mittelbar oder unmittelbar die Absperrung der Brennstoffleitung ermöglicht. Die Betätigung des Absperr organs geschieht in einfachster Weise durch 'eine Feder. Ebenso könnte das Ausschmelzen des Pfropfens die Einwirkung der Abgase auf 'einen Kolben freigeben, ■ der bei 'einer Verschiebung die Brennstoffleitung schließt.
