Electrolytic capacitor with wound electrodes The present
The invention relates to an electrolytic capacitor with wound electrodes
and relates in particular to the mechanical structure of the capacitor. It
it is known to design the electrodes as metal strips, which are interposed
a spacer are rolled up. This particular spacer will
avoided by the inventive design of one electrode. After
In the invention, one electrode consists of a metal strip and the second electrode
made of a fabric made of absorbent textile with inlaid metal wires. The usage
of a fabric with inlaid metal wires instead of a metal band continues to have
the advantage that the surface of the electrode is substantial with the same amount of metal
is larger, so that a large capacity is accommodated in a small container
can be. Although it has already been proposed to increase the surface area
Anode to disassemble the same into individual wires, those with those in the interstices
between the individual anode wires lying cathode wires through absorbent
Textile threads are woven. In this arrangement, however, the power distribution is not
as favorable as with the arrangement according to the invention, with the anode and cathode in
two different levels are juxtaposed.
In Fig. I is shown in an embodiment how the
an electrode-forming tissue can be formed in an expedient manner.
ausgebildeten Elektrode dienen. The electrode according to the invention consists of a number of aluminum wires
i, which has a loose covering 2 made of textile materials, e.g. B. cotton or porous
Paper, own. The aluminum wires i are fixed with a power supply wire 3
tied together. Chain threads 4 made of textile are still between the individual conductors i
placed, which are connected to one another by the weft threads 5 made of textile. Appropriate
the weft threads 5 are reinforced at certain intervals. They form on the cloth electrode
Reinforcing ribs 6, which act as spacers for the turns of the second as a metal band
formed electrode are used.
As . Fig. 2 and 3 reveal the one shown in Fig. i
A cloth electrode can be wound into a spiral with a metal tape electrode.
In Fig.2 is a part of a section through the spiral, namely perpendicular
to the winding direction, while in Fig. 3 a section through the spiral in the winding direction
is shown.
In FIGS. 2 and 3, the metal strip electrode is denoted by 7.
The other reference symbols have the same meaning as in Fig. I. Be on it
pointed out that both the cathode and the anode are fabric electrodes
could be. Since the capacitance depends on the surface area of the anode, it is
in order to achieve a particularly large surface, it is advisable to use the anode as a fabric electrode
and to use a metal strip electrode as the cathode.
