Abstract
PURPOSE: Provided is an acrylic polymer bead having a narrow particle size distribution, storage stability and coating properties. An acrylic sol composition is used in sealing, anti-vibration treating and anti-rust treating vehicles is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The acrylic polymer bead for vehicles having a core/shell structure has an average particle diameter of 0.2-0.5 micrometers, when the diameter and distribution thereof in emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerization are determined by a Submicron Particle Sizer. In the acrylic polymer bead, the standard deviation of particle diameters is 1-12% of the average particle diameter, and the final average particle diameter is 10-100 micrometers. Additionally, the acrylic polymer bead is prepared by the method comprising the steps of: forming seeds using a part of core monomers; forming the core layer from the remaining part of core monomers; forming the emulsion comprising the acrylic polymer bead of the core/shell structure; and spray drying the emulsion.
